hearsay that even if u buy new or 2nd hand legal aftermarket exhaust went for inspection when it doesnt meet their requirement (noise test etc) vicom center can fail the inspection. true!!

approved means approved.. unless you try to be funny and take out the baffel and go inspection.

it will come with a certificate with the homologation number on it. diff models will have diff numbers..

 

and usually you will see on the cans which are illegal are marked with "not for road use".

Micron u can take out silencer when on road but muz put back during inspection.. Sure can pass.. Tested by one of the forumer here.. He's riding S4 if I'm not wrong..

illegal tampering of silencer = less than 100 (70?)

illegal modification of pipe = 500 (first offence)

my friends including myself hav hear so many times of 70/500 bucks..

but all is my "friend's friend blab blab blab" those type one..

but 2 of my friends hav being slap wif 500 bucks instead..

one is K6 wif akra full system evo.. one is RVF wif micron end can..

i play on the safer part.. always hav the silencer in all the times in sg..

When the bike is on stationary , the sound generated is lesser than on the move thus there is a chance that the inspector will close one eye and let u clear the inspection.

 

If next time kanna caught by TP for removing the silencer , i heard the fine is like few hundreds dollar .

I find it funny as people who mount Street legal exhausts knows it comes with silencers, goes to inspect the bike without silencers... They must be rich and have a lot of time for this type of fun.
