wow... what an eventful new year... 3 irritating incidents in one 5 minute ride home

 

first incident...wanted to leave the shopping area, had parked my bike at a pavement where alot of bikes park...suddenly this bloody indian guy with his family walk past and he makes stupid comment about how bikes are stupid and why we anyhow park this and that... that area happens to have alot of CARS anyhow parked as well... cannot stand the way he talked so i just blow my bike and wanna deafen him... he also funny bugger just turned around and keep looking at me... a girl... like wanna hit me... so lame... not happy he shld call police, or kick down all the bike he see la... say say like we own him money...

 

2nd inciden... making right turn on a 4 lane... white honda jazz signal right, but i was already very near... i chose to not give way and go ahead... but this stupid guy kept squeezing and squeezing... i horn all the way he still bloody squeeze... i stop my bike and look at him... he give me this "wat u lookin at look...nothing wrong wat" kind of CB face... arGh!

 

3rd incident... going into carpark... obviously thinking nothing shld go wrong... turn in... two little kids run across suddenly from blindspot, father screaming! i obviously stunned, horned, braked and swerve... the kids still happily jumping and running... hai... why...

Anyway, for my story today. I did a u-turn at my friend's car park in Yishun and I dropped my bike 'cos I had to brake when this guy walked out towards his bike (one of those Phantom 150s) . I was aiming to get the parking lot next to him and he got in between!

 

I drop bike, nevermind. At least the fuel didn't spill out. What makes me upset is he acted blur and didn't help!

 

Good thing I had less than half tank of fuel, so I was able to get the bike up. I should have hollered to him to come and help me.

1) You're in the wrong by parking on the pavement already, and you still go and be even more antisocial by revving your bike at pedestrains?

 

2) You could have given way, and both of you would have gone past that area faster. You chose not to be gracious and prove your lack of basic road courtesy.

 

3) How fast were you travelling in the carpark? What if a car reversed from your 'blindspot'? Who's going to be screaming afterwards?

ytd i was driving at tampines st 11 gonna enter the carpark to my grandpa's house, its a single lane road, so i signal left and check my car's blindspot, clear,so i slow down turn liao, knn, a bike jus squeeze in on my left, i jammed brake and he didnt turn, in the end he knock onto my car, fly and flip twice on the floor head first, i was damn shock, rush down to help him up and check if he's ok, den he got up, i help him to the side, check for injures and he said he's ok, i pull his bike up and shift to the side for him, double check he's ok den i start liao, lecture him on safety liao, wtf, how can u squeeze in on the left and u know that car's gonna turn left liao??

 

piang, his bike slight damage, my car big damage, his speed is at least 70-80 on a small road, and he's jus rushing for soccer game loh, P-plater..

DIY an STM slippper clutch into my DRZ400SM today.

 

Then I sneaked into a yet to be built housing estate to practice sliding the bike into the corners aka "backing it in" the supermotard's signature move . It was illegal but it was fun...

 

Accelerated to 90 kmh on 4th gear, pull in the clutch and cut the throttle at the same time, bang down 2 gears in quick succession and released the clutch. Bike steps out in a graceful 30 metre rear wheel slide as the slipper clutch kicks in, leaving faint black tyre skid marks on the road...

 

Now...to practice and practice till I get the hang of it.

i know it's not my problem but wtf, there are already enuf dangerous drivers out there but why elevate the danger by having no mirrors???

was riding back from work this afternoon, i saw a traffic police turning right into TPE towards SLE.

 

was riding in the 2nd lane at about 80km/h as traffic was slightly heavy when i spotted a blue nissan lorry beside me on my right (1st lane). i thought he was just overtaking but he continued on the right lane. near the overhead bridge near sengkang, i spotted the same traffic police whom i saw turning into TPE standing there. the lorry driver must have spotted him the last minute and try to swerve into the 3rd lane. fortunately for me, i anticipated that and kept way back. he almost caused a collision while doing that.

 

at a blink on a eye, the traffic police was already in my side mirror with sirens blaring and fairy lights on, chasing the lorry down.
