experienced almost th same thing..

after work on wednesday, just finished buying dinner ... with my big bagpack, 2 styroform boxes of durian tied behind me, and 3 boxes of dinner i put on my tank, i rode out (i was riding on pavement hehe) and stopped beside a white subaru. seeing me on a pathetic sportsbike, he began to rev, and rev, and rev till th lights turned green. its really irritating laa ! then guess what, he turned left SO SLOWLY .... zzz ... whilst i just move off slow and steady, heck care about him.. pfft~

----

today whilst riding ...

2 accidents in 1 week. *sigh*... skidded this time around ..and i wasn't lane splitting, just riding "cautiously" and slowly cos it was raining .. car in front suddenly jammed brake and i tried to stop, but fishtailed, and i jammed on my brakes and skid, and fell, ON LANE 1 AGAIN .. at PIE before bukit timah ... thanks to the chinese rider who helped me up and help pick up my bike, thanks to the malay despatch rider who stopped and made sure i was okay ..

the funny part was, after skidding, and riding off, i went ... OH SH*T , i left my island pass inside locker, how to go to work on monday !

scary eh, even bfo skidding, i could feel my rear tyres go left right ... why ehk? tyres no good huh ?

when i stopped at flyover, some guys were looking at my bike... surely in their mind .. "fwa, this girl's bike jialat ..."

anyway, i'm wondering ... thinking of switching to a kup instead ... good for long journeys or not , especially from tamp all the way to jurong ? abit of opinion needed . hehs ...

nearly fell from my bike yesterday. just came down from pearl center's carpark and there was this uncle on a spark or cub approaching me. then with less than 2 meters to spare, he cut across my lane cos he wanna illegal park on my side of the road. jammed brakes cos tio chua. lucky leg moved fast enough to support the bike + pillion's weight. but i think i overexert my right hand (recovering from a fractured palm) and now the healing part feels aching again.

knn!#!$#@%!!$ wanna chut stunt also wait for ppl to move away first mah uncle.

hmz..

i think perhaps u thought far enough ald, but when things happened, u "suddenly" realise not far enough and jam brake? coz if far enough dun need to jam wat. sorry if this sounds insensitive, but that's what i feel la..

cub, perhaps consider something with front and rear disc brakes?

speed, cannot compare to sports bikes. comfort, cannot compare to tourers. tank, is small, 4litres. fc, good at abt 50km/litre. cost, quite cheap. tires, use battlax.

long journeys? i dun think tamp to jurong considered far la, maybe sg to malacca can consider far la. :cheeky: what i mean is, cub is ok for travelling from tamp to jurong.

no offence, but u're such a new rider, u probably need to learn more about ur bike condition and riding skills and e way pple behave on the road... as in anticipation of other rd users.

what tires are u on anyway when u crashed?? and personally i dont like riding my kup frm juront to changi airport.... i dont like going so slow.. if go 100km/h++ on a kup.. stability is an issue... stick with ur nsr.

Have you ever wonder......why Malaysia motorcyclists always like to ride on first lane on our expressway??? With that kind of speed they are travelling, no 1 even make noise on it......(as in media), but only over take them on the road........hmm....

Just take a look at them.

They don't care and they're not even aware of what's behind. They change lane abruptly without checking their rear. They're not aware, or don't care about holding up a sea of traffic behind them.

It's their attitude.

That's why cars just overtake these bikes and squeeze them out without giving a damned about their safety. And because of these JB riders, drivers also think that SG riders are the same. Bikes are bikes, SG or MY, doesn't matter.

Personally, I exercise less courtesy when overtaking MY bikes. After all, they cut into my path without checking. Hell, they cut into each other's path without checking either. So they should be able to get as good as they give, right?

It's not that they're not courteous or are intentionally being assholes. It's just the norm for them.

In M'sia they cut each other. They don't check blind spots. And they ride at their own speed at any lane they wish, blocking other ppl. Maybe they have more patience.

They seem to forget that in SG, drivers don't tolerate or expect this sort of behavior.

DON'T GET A KUP! i ride from woodlands to jurong west everyday and cannot take it already on a kup. need a lot of mental power. usually, i just block off my mind during the journey and ride between 70-90km/hr. cos if you're like me who wanna save petrol, then no choice lor.

they just don't care!! especially those foreign drivers(china, bangla & etc.)!!

we should adopt the malaysian mindset actually. though they ride hard and fast, they are always capable of not crashing into one another, give and take in awkward situations. the kind of accidents they always face are always with cars that don't give a sh*t about them. for us, the moment a car or bike cut our lane, we will always feel unhappy and just horn at them for not following the right of way. I just don't understand some drivers. traffic light turn green already but if the vehicle in front is slow in moving off, they sure kena horned already. impatient basterds. we need to be gracious drivers and riders, where the roads will be a safer place to travel on.

today while riding, bike stalled 4 times!! twice before school and twice after school. one stupid wire connecting to the black thingy connected to the spark plug always seems to dislodge itself while riding. let's hope black masking tape will do the job! i hate kick starting!!

Ironic isn't it? They like to speed in SG, but in M'sia, they act like total n00bs or retards.

Happened to me last nite on the way back from Perling. Slow red plate SG car on the right lane of the highway. I highbeamed the fool and he/she still didn't know what to do. So I cut from the left and right in front of the car. Forced him/her to hit the brakes, I could see his beam dive, and he high beamed me continously in return. I PITY THE FOO!

haa. wth ~

---

today ...

terrible jam on PIE , honestly dont feel like lane-splitting, but there was a long queue of bikes lane splitting, so i follow suit. exit at clementi ave 6, there was an accident there. the casualty was already covered with black canvas, but i didnt notice if it was a vehicle and bike accident or not. shock for a moment .. both of his shoe was flung so far .. haiz ...

whilst riding back from work, saw a lady rider on rr! wearing headscarf, fwaaa power laa that lady.. haha then she hung her handbag on her mirror ! maybe i should change my mirrors back to the stock one, and then i can hang whatever i want on my mirror whaahaha:cheeky:

anyway, i cant stand bike shops who just wants people to replace this and that. fetched my bike not even 1 day, and the knob at my left side footrest broke whilst riding out of work. called up the shop and ask if can replace it or not since its not even 1 day and the footrest already break. that fella said that i cant do anything to it as it's not replaceable, only can attach screw (duh !) before and after service totally different man ...

and how i know that the particular shop confirm plus chop will carrot people?

that fella told this angmoh that the DRZ is more powerful than KTM400. "can anytime beat ktm400" ..wahlauuu... i hope that angmoh wont get fooled ...

Poor thing. The bike, i mean. :sian:

When it starts to move left right, its already a warning signal to ease off the brakes. Wait till you feel the slide and its usually too late to do anything. Braking strength needs to be applied in a more controlled manner during wet weather....

i was told when u skid u should continue to let it skid and not let go ur brakes am i wrong?
