Was at Abboy Motor Racing this afternoon to swop out the rims on the DRZ that has been sold.

A young Beng came over from Lim Ah Boy workshop and asked my mechanic Boy Kallang if he could work on his bike. Boy was busy with my bike so he asked his partner Mun to entertain the Benglet.

P-plated KR150... and he wanted to put on a race exhaust.. the same expansion chamber kind that we use on the race Y125Z. Seems that he has a 'jackpot' race sometime this week night. Heard that the wager was $200.

His instructions to Mun was to put in the race pipe, remove the rear disc and caliper (:faint:) and remove the lower fairings to cut down the weight. (o_O)

Why didn't the MotoGP and WSBK teams think of such a brilliant way of weight savings? :thumb:

To each his own......but I sincerely hope he survives this week coz its really not worth losing your licence or your life just for $200.

yeah... what's aerodynamic and braking? A bike is meant to keep going and going and going.............

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Today while riding, I got my helmet cam out, but surpisingly today NOBODY use HP while driving!

What a rare occurance!

On the way back, while reversing from a patch of gravel, dropped bike!!!

But luckily got a guardian angel to cushion the fall.

My bike's handle landed on the cushion of Ah Cai Biker's Brother bike, so nothing was damage for either bike!

i think by tipping off TP that a night race might be happening this week will actually save this bugger's and the other competitors' lives if not his pocket. this kind of race involve quite a few bikes and each rider will throw in $200 for this case since the wager is $200. e.g: 5 bikers, $200 x 5 = $1000 (jackpot). winner takes all.

i knew of ppl taking part in such races before...

i seriously discourage it... :sian:

I will. Viewed the footage just now, not very good. 1/2 the screen was shooting at the handlebars and meters.

Resolution not very good also, can only see the numbers clearly at 1 - 2 car length away. Unlike my previous camera.

Going to find another way to attach the camera for a better angle.

Then come 01/01/10 I will start to compile snippets of videos on dangerous driving.

Hopefully it can save some lives as part of the campaign to educate why motorcyclists die more in accidents, not because of their fault, but because of the actions of others.

Should go the extra mile, provide G.E.M.S Service, take out the front brake for free as well.... ....

It was removed as per his instructions. When he left, with the wry smile of an impending victory on his mind.... we all just look at each other and shake our heads.

Although I never use the rear brakes when I am racing the supermotard or Y125Z on the tracks... I still want the back brakes for emergency purposes.. like when the front brake fades from overbraking.

Removing the whole back brake disc, caliper, master pump and lever...that is a bit too much for me.

There is a very vague thin line that divides acts of stupidity and insanity. o_O

Now for those with small rear 'sotong' tyres.. they might as well remove the rear brake assembly... that makes sense. With such a small tyre to road contact surface.. any application of the rear brake is an invitation to a skid since the friction contact patch is so small it is totally ineffective.

i guess the lure of good money is too big a temptation for him to put his life on the line.

the love for money can be all powerful and destructive. close buddies become hated enemies, once close knit family fighting over inheritance... for the sake of $$$... you see it happening everywhere... sad but very true...

Hahaha. Here's a preview. And the most drama one.

It's a 1/2 hour video from my camera mounted on my left crash bar during my 2B days, cut up into a 2:34mins video with comments and posted on YouTube just now.

Only part I wasn't happy about was the the part at the traffic light was a bit long.

@Silent Hunter: nice that the number plate can be seen clearly!! by the way, maybe edit out the wait at the traffic light so its shorter...and also the text parts can be shorter cos so few words can read fast :)

NICE!!! put up more!!!
