today while participating the amazing ride organised by BBDC for ride safe 2010...

 

there were some inconsiderate participants who increased the 'risk' factor for others on the road...

 

overall an enjoyable event with generous lucky draw prizes and goodie bag!

 

i was there too. some of the participants mistook the amazing ride for the amazing race. sigh~~~

I fell at the e-brake in BBDC the night before my TP. It was raining too. Luckily I had my usual gear on. Do gear up folks. Even a relatively low speed fall can result in bad injuries.

what is going on these days? saw a lot of cars/vans/lorries speeding like no tomorrow. all going 100++ on a 70 road, and even horn you if you try to follow the rules. sigh...

 

also, i notice a lot of bad parking by buses these days. all with their a$$ outside of the bus stop, while the front just won't go in further, wtf.

However fast they wanna go is their own prerogative. As long as they're not intentionally hassling you, it's their biz n they will answer for it if pulled over by the coppers.

i think he was trying to tell me that he CAN overtake my bike.

why are some of the drivers so god damn stupid?

 

on minor roads, if a bike is in front of them, some of them die die must overtake the bike. even when there is no space for proper overtaking, they must do it in a reckless way.

 

this is what i have personally experience. imo, i don't think im going slow, im usually going faster than the speed cars would go on minor roads. i know this is subjective, but i try to ride at a decent pace, and im usually rushing for time too.

 

and worse still, after the car overtake already, they just continue driving in front of me at a constant speed, maintaining. whats the purpose of overtaking then? if they overtake already, zoom off at a faster speed, ok understandable.

 

i think its the mentality of ' if you are a bike, get out of my way on minor roads '

 

some if cannot overtake, or i should say overtake recklessly, they will tailgate all the way.

actually the car is right as long as he over take you from your right. if you see traffic at other countries, no one will hog the most outer lane. they will only overtake at the most outer lane and go back to the same lane. unless its a traffic jam.

ride- when you can overtake the car overtake it, if not let it overtake you and remain behind the car.

drive- when you can overtake the bike overtake it, if not let it pass you.

 

for me i think this is the safest way, don't always think who is right who is wrong. i rather keep focus on the road then keep thinking.

wow, i saw alot of drivers rd hogging n going very slow today, no offense to female drivers but surprisingly today i saw quite a number of female drivers rd hogging n kept smiling about it while other cars tailgate them n overtake them dangerously n almost hit me, pls god damn rd hoggings n slow drivers, keep extreme left n keep urself out of trouble instead of behaving like stupid morons.

 

kena tailgated by a honda stream on a empty rd on centre lane cos the driver thinks its fun, come on n stop being an idiot pls.

 

To all bmw p-platers, stay extreme left lanes if u idiots wanna cruise slowly, have some basic rd manners or else go back driving centre to learn.

 

Too much jams due to too much rd hogging motorists n selfish drivers.

 

Pls have consideration to other motorists n dun cause any danger to one another. Pls play a part to make SG rd safe n smooth

tell me about it...... almost got knocked down by junior driving daddy's beemer just now while sending my gf home.

i signalled and checked my blind spot before making a lane change and this @rsehole behind me purposely lane change from behind and speed up just when my front wheel is already across the dotted line. luckily i was alert enough to quickly lane change back to where i was quickly with counter steering but my gf got a rude shock.

interestingly, i learnt to use hoggers to my advantage, coz they'll always, almost certainly, help me block 1 or 2 taligators, giving me ample time to get out.

these few days while riding, been bumping into quite a few nerve wrecking situations, too many for my liking.. on looking back, mostly are the drivers' fault, but i noe it takes 2 hands to clap so im wondering if im riding too silently and passively..

just now on the way to office, saw a car almost knocked down a pedestrian by beating the red lights at a busy traffic crossing. best of all, the red light has been lighted for more than 5 seconds and all the other cars had stopped.

sounds serious.. i have 2 friends who went through something similar - the good news are that u will recover, and that there are nurses to help u on that front..

Bro.. it is probably because the bone will not heal properly if left as is and will not be as strong as before hence the titanium insert.

 

Doctors normally don't recommend modifications... but in your case... it may because it is necessary so that you won't have problems later in life.

Bro, recently i also had titanium insert into my left wrist. Cut almost healed in 3rd week. 4th week remove stitches. Been two months already, wrist has resumed 90% of the normal function such as light light activities. The other 10% involving carry heavy stuffs is still not good and non recommendable to try.

today an asswipe of a cager tailgated me while i was tagging along behind a megane on the 1st lane of the SLE. there was a line of cars in front of me and mind, i wasn't travelling slowly and was maintaining a safety distance of a-car-and-a-half length from the megane in front of me. this bugger started tailgating me tightly. i normally don't mind giving way but this asswipe was pissing me off with his tailgating. at one point he suddenly overtook me with the little space on the 2nd lane and cut right in front of me with barely a bike length between his rear bumper and my front. had to quickly jam my brakes and immediately lane split for safety.

 

the next bit is really cos i was pissed off so i know this part i'm at fault but wouldn't you guys get pissed off too? anyway i manuevred the tight traffic and lane split till i found a gap between him and the megane again. slotted myself in between and he was forced to give way like i was forced to lane split before that. after that i just cruised behind the megane as norm and ignored him. glanced a few times in the sideview mirror and this time he kept a proper safety distance from my rear.

 

not long after he went to the 2nd lane and kept giving me his **** face. i gave him my nonchalant face and bohiew him. asswipe looked like he was driving his father's car. what's up with these young cagers who think they own the road.
