LOL.. Kips rider.. Most of the time, 2 strokers are easily offended.. *including myself.. haha..

so I have the practice of slowly "crawling" up and after a certain distance before I clear my way.. Else, I'll stick to your backside all the way. (if I can pace the one infront).. =)

Will only get pek chey if they suddenly cut into my lane without checking or keep braking and hog the "0.5" lane when they can't go faster..

What is 0.5 lane ??

What I don't understand is this.

If these bikes are travelling at the same speed as the vehicles beside them,

why can't they travel on the proper lane instead of lane splitting?

What they are doing is block the bikes that are lane splitting behind.

I would say probably most lanespilt and don't over take because either they are not confident to do so and probably wait for a good time to go faster. If you lanespilt, you are not behind the vehicle, if they e-brake, at least you are safe and will not collide into the vehicle.

Its not possible to have the same distance in a lane behind the vehicle. Lanespilitting is not officially a correct way of riding, because you just need a careless driver to not see you in his blind spot, and you would be superman. It should not be assumed that its a way of overtaking another vehicle because in a real scenario of a accident, the biker would just lose out in the end.

Safety comes first dudes.

Travelled on PIE noon time. Surprised to see a jam and most vehicles in lane 2 are already crossing into lane 1 to the point it looks like cannot LS. The cause was a lorry that caught on fire on on lane 3. How it happened is not known. Is it a trend for vehicles to be catching fire now while on the road? :cool:

Seeing it live was more exciting. Got my heart pumping just a tiny little bit becoz was wondering if will accident right in front of me. Was on alert anytime ready to ebrake. Think the S4 right in front of me also having the same thoughts. Next time, I'll try to go closer to capture the number so that can report TP. Of coz will ensure within safety...

saw something similar few days back. i was on lane 1 following behind a car. a merc (SBA5000M) came quite fast from behind and i had no chance to lane change to lane 2 as there was a vehicle beside. so merc decided to lane change like the car as shown in the video. lane change from lane 1 all the way to lane 3 den brake hard so he could squeeze in between other cars on lane 2

Before someone says it let me say it first. Its common. :lol:

However its really dangerous. I ever saw a car 'drift' into PIE all the way to lane 1. It then 'drifted' to lane 3 overtook a van an drifted back to lane 1 and I lost sight of it. I say drifted coz the car just zipped from the merging lane into PIE to lane 1 in a split second. :cool:

Extremely dangerous. They don't have time or will bother to check blind spot, and if any bike near their side, then game over for the biker.

These intentional "racers" and blur drivers which "drift" their cars aka crossing e lane markings without knowing will knock riders easily. which is y i will report those tat i manage to capture on video, drivers tat cross e line more than 3 times in 1 trip tat i saw and recorded. But totally boring to watch. Lol

Today while driving to KK hospital, also saw a similar driver like that, driving a dark blue Renault with the number "55" Painted in a yellow circle along CTE. Fellow was going easily at 120-130km/hr.

Today while riding.... .... I was in JB on the way back home after shopping for tibits at giant. I was wearing my sling bag because my boxes were full. There was a rider on a kup wearing a helmet with tinted visor and kept staying in my blind spot, I got a little worried and kept to the right of my lane and shifted my body to the right to stay away from him, then.... full throttle! Going pass 120km/hr!!! And finally leaving him behind after 2 traffic lights. :sweat:

Although I have already squeezed my wallet and iphone into my boxes, I didn't the sling bag which contains my passport and water bottle. :cheeky:

Last night had a short ride nearby because need to pump petrol. I was ttavelling on the most left lane and as I was entering into PIE a vehicle decided to squeeze on my left. The vehicle was a police hi lux truck. Thankfully for the driver I did not record the whole thing and thankfully I was a bit on the right of the lane as I was signalling to enter PIE. :cool:

Yesterday, I saw a white police car nearly collide with fellow biker while I was riding on Upp Serangoon Road on the way to town. I was riding a few distance behind. The rider was in the car-free middle lane while the police car was on the crowded 1st lane. He wanted to change lane at the last minute; signalled left but only just noticed the rider was passing by and luckily managed to swerve away before proceeding. Luckily never tio accident coz he went super duper close to the bike causing the rider to wobble a little.

Current Rides:

FEB 07 -> NOV 08 [CBR 150]

AUG 08 -> AUG 12 [XJR400]

AUG 12 -> ??? [DUCATI MONSTER 696]

Curiosity kills the cat. :lol:

It was just a very short ride. You should know how near the petrol kiosk is from my place. FYI I do not ride much now as compared to back then. The experiences that I shared are mostly all from the time I do not have the camera years ago. Sadly it was abit too late that I got a cam now but I do use it on long journeys. :cool:

Another I could recall and would like to share is there was once a car travelling on my right. It was a 2lane road. Suddenly the driver decide to swerve in my lane without signalling and swerved back into his lane. Still beside him I cam see him laughing with his passenger a lady. Apparently they find that my reaction to avoid a collision amusing to them. :cool:

@duo. I can understand sometimes short trips we just wish to relax. But e other day when i took a short trip an used my open face helmet instead. Felt so exposed. I think ride bike we ve to be very discipline. :/

@bfg. Not sure wats e spd but on e expressway quite a few time lane 2 very open. If just change lane then no need worry about tail gate. Of coz small road nothing to say. In front got car wat e driver expect?

Also curious wat cam u using. How come can turn front and back? Though e view of back not very good. Maybe angle wrong ba.
