Wish to add a little. Maybe not so little.

 

While riding today i was thinking wat i would do if encountered similar as to wat happened in e video. And i came to a realization tat i may not be able to react.

 

My usual riding during normal cruising with traffic is about at least 2 car length away. I will often look in front of e vehicle in front of me and also look into e vehicle in front of me to observe e driver's behavior. And i dun think it is enough.

 

I think we ve to notice tat in e video, likely speeding, not an expressway, but e rider i estimate was much more than 2 car lengths away and couldnt evade. I wonder if i could in his shoes. Also i wonder if i could during my usual riding and fact is i am more alert now after watching e video. Wat happens weeks or months later when we forget about this?

Just now while riding to work along upper serangoon road towards paya lebar again before the viaduct... that same idiot cyclist...

 

observing him from behind all the way from Kovan area, he was lane splitting on lane 2.5 like nobody's business and then switched to 1.5 and back to 2.5 again and almost wanted to go back to 1.5 before the traffic light at caltex... So me stopping at 1.5 cuz of the heavy traffic and red light, wanted to keep to lane 2 to enter paya lebar road when the light turned green (and so I did)...

 

that nincompoop cyclist also decided to swerve from 2.5 into 2 at the same time... and so I blasted him a horn for his life...

 

wanna die please die alone somewhere else... don't endanger other road users... -_-

I think you need the cam. Share with us the recording so we can identify the nincompoop when we are outside. I once horned a couple of cyclists. Definitely PRC cycling on the shoulder of PIE towards Changi. :sly:

Guess so. Guess he had braced for the impact.

 

Speaking of which.Took bus today and saw a big piece of what looked like a car bumper. Half of it on lane1 of PIE towards Changi. Somewhere near the Serangoon exit. Be careful.

Its not whether the rider reacted or not. The force of the impact will deflect the rider in that direction whether he reacted or not. Its same with you hit a bump on the road your bike will go up whether you react or not. The impact obviously veered the motorbike to the left and it made the rider lose control of it. Starts to wobble and it falls when it hits the curb.

saw a couple unmarked TPs in all black spotted on the roads.. F-plates but ends all with ZERO ZERO..

 

armed with cameras mounted on helmets.. seems like TPs are adopting convert operations to catch those 'parliah' drivers..

 

and all those 60/70kmh speed limited vehicles all got directed back to 3rd lane..

Just manually fold his mirrors then. I still feel that majority of riders have much more patience than drivers.

Its not the time factor. Im more frustrated abt the attitude some drivers have. Just very selfish. Nt sure if u saw one of my previous whr a heavy vehicle driver shifted his huge truck to let us riders thru. Just a small gesture goes a long way. Sadly its just so rare to meet these types of drivers.

Today while riding, I was riding outside Chongfu primary school. There was a yellow taxi on my left that went to the side of the road to pick up a group of passengers. Now because there was a slow moving bus behind the taxi, there was a gap on my left, I signalled, check blindspot and went to the left lane.

 

After traveling for about 5 more metres on the left lane, a blue taxi I was overtaking on my right swerved left and nearly bang into me!

 

And that was when I was on my way home after my wife messaged me that my baby girl just started walking today, and I came home earlier to see her. Nearly made me never able to see my baby girl walk!

 

Who knows where to buy 3M vecro tape?

I want to vecro my camera to my helmet!

Today while riding, was along hillview and doing about 50~60km/hr and beside me was a Malaysian Kup going at the same speed as me AND eating a curry puff....

 

Then on BKE towards SLE, saw a Malaysian Kup lane splitting so close to another Malaysian Kup and the handlebar just scrap cross through another Malaysian Kup by the side, that sight woke me up instantly! Luckly both of them didn't fall!

They really have some skills to be able eat and ride at the sametime. I always think that action can only happen when driving.

 

Hope they Only do that (side swapped) to their fellow country mates and don disturb us with their stuns. Do u all think that after seeing them approaching from behind by your mirror. By "kicking"our leg sideway will prevent them from sticking close to us ?

The last thing we want is to skid due to such rider behaviours. Totally not worth. I don't expect them to stop and attend to us when we drop.
