yesterday while riding, lost my way inside the underground carpark maze of marina square. looking for my way from conrad to ritz carlton. took off helmet cos sweating like mad from the afternoon heat + jam at rochor due to road closure. then suay suay got TP eating snake inside the carpark. tio stop by him and kanna farked. luckily in the end he let me go with just a warning after i kept apologizing

 

then at night on the way home, this station wagon forced itself from lane 4 to 1 in few seconds. no space liao still die die want to force itself in front of me. gave a 15 sec horn. then the idiot began to hog lane 1

 

which is why I'd like to mount a machine gun on my bike for numbskulls like this... go ahead and hog *click* *ratatatatatatatattaaaaa*

Good points. So far when i drive, during e day when i c those flash high beam, is not tat noticeable. Ve not encountered any constantly on high beam car or bike yet thus unable to comment.

 

For normal lights, i think when far still ok. But u r right when nearing, e high beam may even obstruct e front vehicles view. But trying to become more visible by flashing may also cause irritation to other vehicles. Both way also seems to ve negative effect.

 

Any other suggestions to make us riders more visible without causing any irritation?

 

 

Install LED running lights. Bright LEDs.

They're noticeable without being glaring as high beams. Don't forget to make a switch for them so you can turn them off in case a white ant is nearby. As one bike shop owner said to me, these DRLs make your bike more visible, but the dumbass LTA mofos still outlaw them.

 

As for highbeams, I use them during the day. When I ride or drive, I notice that in my mirror, high beams in the day DO NOT CAUSE you to see that "white glare" only. That's bull-fuucking-sh1t. The sun and ambient light from the sky is far brighter than a high beam.

 

Just ride on with high beams in the day. Don't forget to dip them after 6pm. That's when they start to cause glare, in twilight situations.

IF that driver seriously reeks of alcohol.. Insurance no cover drink driving wo.. Poor Ducati rider have to civil sue that bugger..

 

yup, cant claim that bugger's insurance but luckily got that kind driver to be witness and provide video as supporting evidence so shldnt be that complicated to claim that bugger

Its their SOP. When they hit you from the back they will ask why you 'suddenly' stop knowing fully well the traffic ahead is still not clear for you to move off safely. I recall reading in the papers quite sometime ago of this driver who still strongly feels that its not wrong of him to suddenly stop and insert cashcard into IU causing a lady rider to crash into his car. Could not recall what happened in the end.

 

E female rider coma for a year and after wake ve to court case. For some unknown reason if i remember correctly, although e court rule in favor of e riding but not entirely. Y i say no entirely is becoz e rider is deem ve to bear part of responsibility for not keeping a lookout for vehicles in front on e expressway. E driver accordingly to news report wanted to appeal. dun recall seeing anything after tAt.

I am thinking.... Can we just hang a big mirror behind our box?

 

Maybe can try put those CD DVD at e rear of ur vehicle. Like those uncle bikes or bicycle. But thinking about it, quite cheap and smart way to be safe. Not sure whether legal though.

 

Orrrr, own self cut up e CD DVD into shapes and wat not. If questioned can say DIY decoration/ design. got chance.

Maybe because they know Singaporean kiasu. Good things they will always want to have a lot of to the point the bikes/cars will look like its in a Chingay procession.

the reflector is the red rectangular piece which is part of the rear fender. those bikes with fender eliminator is considered illegal cuz LTA say no number plate light and reflector

Was turning into a filter lane into Tanglin Road, then suddenly this Mercedes Taxi turn right in front of me. I had to E-Brake & the Black BMW X1 behind me almost knock into me. I appreciate he also E-Brake in time to avoid hitting me. But he suddenly accelerate with the intention to hit me, I quickly open throttle & move off. He continued to chase me & tried to hit me again! I'm so pissed, but my girl keep asking me to calm down. Really had the thought of killing him leh. Why want to hit me!?! Especially when I have a PILLION!

was leaving the car park for my evening classes. saw a spark with front wheel taken out. a old uncle was there. i was staring at him so he asked me whether the bike was mine. i told him it does not belong to me and asked him what is he doing. he told me the tires is puncture and he is helping to fix it. i was taken aback and not sure what to do.

 

so i took a picture of his bike which is parking near the bike he is fixing just in case there is any criminal intention. when i reached home, the spark is still there:cheeky:

Actually I did stop slanted in front of him when we encountered a "Red" light beside Crescent Girls School, with the intention of coming down to have a talk with him. He gave me the "wtf" look & step on his pedal with the intention of knocking me again. My girl forced me to "Forget it", so I did not come down & let him go.

These type of people should not drive. Owning a car makes them think they are powerful but no responsibility. Only brave behind the wheel and a coward when not.

a visible camera mounted while on the roads commands the respect from other road users, be it recording or not.

 

yesterday on the way home, just 2 junctions away from home. i was going straight from traffic lights, while the opp traffic was able to go straight or turn right (my left).

 

1 merc either overshot the waiting box, OR tried to chiong across when traffic conditions wasn't in his favour. missed by mere inches.

 

did a u-turn at the next junction and went up next to him, signal to him to pull over.

 

and he was very apologetic over the incident. and since he's so apologetic, just take it at face value and let him go since nobody was injured in the process.

 

just told him to drive more carefully since he claim that he's not familiar with the geylang traffic.
