No worries for Gopro mounts. They stick like superglue.

My bike's riding posture is quite upright. Wont touch the camera at all :)

Is it easily taken off? As in the mount. Is it something like velcro like that? If let's say I sold off will there be residue marks on the tank? :)

Dont worry. Gopro mounts if sticked on a well-cleaned surface is really really strong! Can be removed with abit of heat (hairdryer) and shouldnt leave much residue. If have also, can be removed easily with goo-gone or polish.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

When I was working today, I saw a covert police car chasing a sports bike with a pillion that was carrying a very big backpack through the suburbs. The rider wasn't that steady. When taking corners, still can put left foot down. :slapforehead:

The rider gave the cops the slip when he saw the next intersection was blocked by a car that was towing a trailer full of green rubbish. Rider mounted on footpath, got to the other side and disappeared. I could hear the rider open throttle and roared away to freedom.

Precisely. Still do not see why it should be illegal to use led signal lights.

this morning while lane changing from lane 2/lane 1 on the expyway this msian kup suddenly appeared lanesplitting behind me and got so angry and start swearing and shouting at me for cutting him in a filter lane.

yes i did check my mirrors and didnt expect him to come that fast out of nowhere.

makes me wonder if its a lapse of judgement on my part and also wonder why people can get so angry when they are going so fast when they shouldnt. traffic was at already a crawl man.

operate a vehicle in a way that you benefit other road users pls - and meanwhile, stop whining! be responsible and be safe.

The same thing happen to me this morning. This diavel thinks he has the fastest bike so dont need to check for safety? Gave a tap on my honk, he checks his side mirror but not apologetic at all. Should have just blast the honk. Blardy mangkok.

If you know u want to go slow den stay on the slowest lane. Let the fastest be on their way.

Well as long as you cut into the split lane safety and with sufficient space for the bikes behind, then it's their bloody problem for speeding. I'm stereotyping here, but given that it's a Malaysian cub, it's most probably the latter.

They also tend to be the idiots that actually cut into your split lane with very little warning: I take the PIE towards the city every morning to work, and the on-ramp from the BKE is where I have to be particularly wary of them.

What to do? Ride safely and with vigilance. If other riders want to kill themselves in traffic, they're free to do so.

Actually, on the note of bikes coming out of nowhere from behind, this does seem to be an issue for drivers in particular. My friend and I have each experienced a situation where we had to abort a filter attempt while we're attempting to change into the first (rightmost) lane, despite checking the side mirror and blind spot for clear traffic, all because of a fast bike coming up from the rear.

I think riders have to realise that they're really not very visible in side mirrors, particularly the ones on cars that tend to make things smaller than they are. And given that most drivers seem to have difficulty estimating the oncoming speed of vehicles from behind, that makes riding fast on the first lane something that requires a lot of caution.

in this someone decided that he cant be fast 'cos i decided to go fast and gave way instead when i last minute saw him coming. gave him his way and he's sooooo angry. im thankful i didnt die.

there was space for me to cut in through to lane 1 safe... till he appeared. thats why give him space to swerve or else kena snooked by him already.

because these msian cubs practically treat others like a moving pylon in a slalom usually ill just stay in my position until they do their stunt finish. no point competiting for lane space in this kind of situation.

regarding in the driving context its definitely hard to see a bike coming up in the filter lane, especially when your mirrors tells you a certain maximum distance that you can see behind. anyone travelling faster than that definitely you may not realise by the time your car or even bike lane change.

best way is still split at a speed not too fast so that other drivers can react on time and also you can react on time, methinks.

You check your blindspot like a driver, in other words, you did not check your blindspot, checking mirrors only =/= checking blindspot. This is the issue drivers have, riders suddenly popping out of nowhere. Irregardless of whether the bugger is speeding or not, you have to be very sure no one is there, traffic may be a crawl but that's not an issue for riders.

that is not true. i did perform an overhead shoulder blind spot check as per norm. this rider was not in my blind spot and appeared in my mirror's diminishing point only after my initiation of lane change. in fact its because i saw him in my mirrors during the lane change i held my position to evade him, *then* he entered my blind spot then starteed yelling at me in my front the next moment. =D

of course you have to be damn sure no one is there, but you cannot evade things that you cannot see beyond your mirror and your blind spot if they are beyond your viewing range. in heavy traffic the mirror's rear view distance range is compromised, i.e. you cannot see that far back, which is what im trying to get at.

Anyway, since I know the habits of these Msian kups inside out after riding among them for so long...all I can say is, never give them face, there's always one of these d!pshits with an inferiority complex. One such incident is that this JB rider wanted to show off his skill and overtook me aggressively, I returned the favor and beat him at his own game, bugger wasn't happy.
