Rather unusual sight I came across today.

Scoot with TP plate ridden by a TP with the grey/silver armoured top, with a P-plate on the scoot, guy.

I know I may be sua ku, but for parking/traffic infringement? And with P-plates?

New TP officer just got licence I guess. New blood. Seen a line of them about 5 bikes with instructor in front before quite sometime ago.

Car big, bike small, big difference, maybe if bus squeeze by then can see the effect.
When riders do that they put their safety at risk. When drivers do that they jeopardize the riders' safety. Edited by duo

Inexperienced with the bike still want to do illegal sh!t, could be stolen or no road tax/insurance etc, asking for trouble. Anyway piece of sh!t LTA also nothing better to do, have covert ops to catch people and everything maciam illegal pipes hurt anyone, you say CNB I understand but illegal pipes?

This happened in Australia, where I'm working. This kind of chase sure will be on our local news.

Separate incident happened few days ago....

After work as usual, I was waiting at the 1st set of traffic lights and from my mirror, I see a road bike coming. Hearing the sound, I knew it's Ducati Monster. The rider stopped in the same lane as me but at my 4 o'clock.

I slowly turned to see who it was and turns out it was a chick! Even with her full face helmet, I can see her blonde hair peeking underneath the helmet and her clear blue eyes. Friendly and cheerful. She smiled and nodded back when I waved :lovestruck:

When the traffic lights changed to green, we moved off together and I even changed lane to let her go but she did charge ahead like some of you guys do. She patiently followed the car in front of her until she turned at the traffic lights somewhere else

That made my day.

Yup, totally agree!

think a lot of drivers do a lot such late exit nowadays.. usually ill just slow down and watch out for that clown on your right side every time before you filter left..

operate a vehicle in a way that you benefit other road users pls - and meanwhile, stop whining! be responsible and be safe.

Wah!!! Nice man!!!

For me.... last week while riding into Singapore on my DR800, one of the over zealous custom office knock the cover off my Hecko Becko Explorer box cover off and it fell onto the ground.

And on friday, in JB after collecting my newly sprayed bike (all glossy black) a gentleman on a Super 4 cmmented that my bike was nice and asked me about the bike. If you are reading this, the bike was painted at Hou Heng. Normal paint, tank, fenders and fork covers will about Ringgit $250+/-

Then while riding, a black SUV cut me off and that's when I realised I got no horn!!!

Went back to Hou Heng and the mech told me the orginal horn was spoilt. So I ask him about the hella horn I had installed insid e the chrome cover of my Phantom then he told me he didn't know whose it was and threw it away. :faint:

Anyway I bought a new horn from there and went home.

I noticed that it's usually those "fast" cars such as Scirocco/WRX that do these kind of things. No idea why they couldn't just wait for a few seconds and merge peacefully with the rest of traffic o_O

drivers who drive unpredictably are usually either, blur; undertrained drivers or those with skills which somehow lapsed; egoistic fellas who want a free space in front of them all the time... and those who wants a good challenge too - esp those who think they have skills and the machine to siam injury and death. the latter few will be the ones who will not be in peace with anybody and wun give a flying **** about anyone's else safety.. same applies to riders and truck drivers.

im generally more wary of vehicles with a body kit, non conventional exhaust/engine sound or those with a Type R and other awesome body work. usually they display lima juliet behavior =X

Riding with a suspended licence is giving a bad name to the group, very difficult to erase, plain stupid

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Some of you may have heard, saw or read about the incident where a motor bike caught fire on PTE. I saw the aftermath of the incident and the bike that caught fire seems to be half burnt. Surprisingly, my partner who drives, actually saw the incident (We go to work at different timing).

Base on her description, it was slight drizzle thus wet road. Base on the in car video, it looks like a Super 4 and a Kup. Sadly the actual actions were not captured on the in car video but base on the description, the Super 4 was on LS between lane 1 and 2. The Kup came at higher speed changing lane from lane 2 toward lane 1 and hit the front of the Super 4. After which the kup fell and slide into the rear of the car in front following which the bike caught fire. The super 4 just nice fell on the left of our car but thankfully didn't hit the car.

Honestly, base on the video, I can't say who was wrong becoz the viewing angle of the in car video wasn't enough to capture the sides of our car. But please please ride safely!!!!!!!!!! By rushing, you wouldn't save alot of time but you may lose your bike to flames or accidents. Or even lose your life. As riders, we r already in a lugi position so please dun make yourself even more lugi by rushing.

If you really want to speed, do not do it recklessly... Ride safe.

Depending on the bike I'm riding and level of confidence I have in my skills with the bike, either I stay behind and hope they get bored or lose them far behind, ever had a car tailgating me at 180 plus...road was open, no cameras and I really didn't want to waste time but why the need to tailgate? Well good thing he wasn't that confident in the corner up ahead, dude braked early, left him for dead. Anywhere away from these people is safer.

Wanted to restore some faith for the the bikers of Singapore.

Other day while out, my chain broke and i ended up needing to have my bike picked up to take to garage for replacement - lucky escape as was doing 60+ and in outside lane when it went. Anyway, after pick up was done, it was just a short walk to my home. Walking up the road had a guy on a Vespa pull over and ask if i wanted a lift anywhere, obviously he saw the helmet and thought to offer a lift to a broken down biker! NICE!! Told him i was heading just up road so no bother, but, thanks!

Good to know that there are still those out there that will do this, to him many thanks my man....good on you!!

A lot less can be said for the staff of the SHELL garage on Upper Bukit Timah that i pulled into to see what the problem was, despite seeing that i had broken down and was looking to see what the issue was they just hassled and hassled me to move into the car park lots (i was parked away in one corner and obstructing no one). Then without even having my phone in my hand i was told repeatedly that i was not allowed to make phone calls and had to go into the shop to make calls, after the third time of being told this i had had enough and asked point blank ' DO you see a phone in my hand, or, do you see me calling anyone??' Then to top it off, hassled the breakdown truck guy as we both pushed my bike on the back of the lorry...typical...nothing better to do and don't think that bikers are worth any humanity or respect. A simple, are you ok? Do you need any help? Would have been nice, they did after all see me push my bike into the garage from the road and all that passed through their tiny minds was to hassle hassle hassle

SO, rant over, to the biker THUMBS UP...thank you. To Shell...THUMBS DOWN...i now fuel at other garages for both my bikes and car!! Customer service doesn't cost anything, but will either gain or lose loyalty!!!!

First, I would lube my chain often ahhahha. Joking2

I would just ignore the staff...unless they touch the bike. All hell will break loose.

If they get annoying, I'll ask 'Am I obstructing anything?' and 'Can I talk to your manager?'

If its the manager that's annoying, I'll just say 'I NO SPEAKER ENGRISH!'

Havent had the chance to clear my 2T this week. Then this morning while lanesplitting btn lane 1 and 2, saw this malaysian kup from lane 3 cut into lane 2 to lanesplit btn 1 and 2 and nearly collided with me, no signal no checking blindspot, just swerve. Heng i saw him and blast my horn at him and he swerve back to lane 2. After that, he kept trying to poke my left and right, coming very very close, even though i'm lanesplitting at 80kmph, revving his kup aggressively as well. The jam was bad and i had no space to maneuver, dun dare to slow down cos he will ram me, and i can't switch lane let him pass either cos of cars on left and right. I decided i had enough and clutched in and hiong hiong rev many times.

Undeterred, he continued to poke, so i also continue to clear my 2T... after about 4km of that, finally the traffic was smoother and i went to lane 2 let him pass. As he went past, he showed me middle finger, but i had the last laugh... his helmet full of 2T. It's so much till you can see it's splattered all over the front of his bike, clothes, helmet very obviously... made my day...

RIDE.

Coincidentally on Wednesday, my work motorcycle also had flat tire. I only found out when I rode not to far away. The 1st sign was wobbling. I looked at the rear tire, I knew better go back and request for change of bike. I rode back slowly and made it before the gate. Off engine and push the bike into the bike shed. Thankfully a lot of staff on leave, so I was able to take another guy's bike and carry on my work.

Must have gotten a nail on Wednesday, then overnight the air got out.

The first sign the bike got a flat tire, was when I moved off, the bike not responsive, like got a lot of drag.

Then when cornering, the rear wheel slides.

Finally, the sound when I rode the bike was like I modified the bike. "Growl! Gorwl! Growl! Growl!"

coincident coincident, yesterday realising my front and rear tires are almost botak. went to shop at bukit merah had them change. the strange thing is before change, i realised the front steering was wobbling because of the uneven pressure but after change, still feel the wobbling. must read more whats the reason???
