lets just say i'm in a good mood that day

just went in front of him and kept a good following distance with the car in front.

Ever thought of doing so. But rarely will the drivers wid down their window. I believe I do not have a gangster look or anything.

 

 

Was travelling on PIE at Bedok keeping to the left most lane as I will be exiting Tampines. This car want to merge into PIE just swerved into the lane I was in all along I was just beside it. Had anticipated such an action so i managed to swerve into between lane 3 and 2 to avoid collision.

 

Went back into the left most lane and the next thing I noticed made me turn and look on my right. Suddenly lots of cars were signalling to the left and changing lanes. All in unison like synchronized swimming or ' keluar baris'. Seconds later saw a TP patrol car on the 1st lane. Guess that answered my question.

Today while riding around Yishun, a red bike with twin under seat exhaust overtook me, then at the next traffic light when we all stopped because of the red light, the bike waited until both side red, but green arrow on the other side still flashing, he just zoomed off beating the red light, he got to the other side and the lights were still red.

Ytd while riding, was travelling on KPE towards PIE (Tuas). Once exited from KPE and going up the slope towards PIE (Tuas) on lane 1, there was a MPV coming from Kallang direction on lane 2. I was following behind a car with abt 1/2 - 3/4 car length space in between. MPV was increasing speed as there wasnt any cars infront and was now in between the car and me on the lane 2 when he decided to lane change into that small gap.

 

Gave a long horn to the MPV but driver then started to signal kept forcing his way in and kept lane changing all the way to the extreme right. MPV driver obviously never check his blindspot. Rode beside the MPV, wife saw camera mounted on my helmet and kept talking while looking at me but husband did not dare to look at my direction and purposely slow down.

was pillioning my wife at the junction of CTE northbound exit AMK ave 1 towards serangoon gardens moving off from red lights.

as i was making the turn, this bloody cab driver on my left apparently floored his accelerator and tried to take the corner.

but he fail to negotiate the corner properly and cut into my lane from behind, continue accelerate and almost hitting me.

i am not travelling slow but all i can see is a sudden flash of headlight on my left mirror and the next thing i am being forced off my line to avoid collision.

wobbled like mad and finally managed to get the bike back under control.

 

stopped at the junction further up and gestured at the drive wtf was he doing. act gong look straight face and refuse to apologise. ok nvm i just follow behind him to see where he is going to drop off his passenger then give him a piece of my mind when he stops.

 

next thing he do is simply farked up. we were both on the same extreme left lane then suddenly he moved to the middle lane, braked hard and swerve back into left lane. from my POV, its intention to cause an accident. and thats where i lost my cool.

 

to cut story short, i stopped his cab at the junction outside serangoon gardens shell and call the cops. overheard him telling the cops that i was the one trying to cause an accident among other lies. and as usual the cops cannot do anything and ask me to refer to TP. but since its words for words, nothing much can be done.

This is why we should protect ourselves with camera.... Makes me a bit regret selling my GoPro3... but then i also cannot bear to mount on my new helmet... Police are useless for anything traffic related. Maybe you should get a more powerful bike and ride faster, brings me far away from idiots usually.

Powerful bike will allow u to blast to another anti killer cager. This country drivers (those without bike license) are beyond hope. Situation will only get worse. Today I was riding on lane 1 PIE obediently. A car on lane 2 just eat into my lane while I was besides him. I blasted my horn n he still subbornly moved in. Looked at him. Didnt even show any sorry gesture or apologetic look.

Well done. Although there may be some who think what is the point, serve no purpose, no result, etc, this sort or similar thoughts. But you took action where you felt it was necessary!

 

Only thing now is to keep your camera charged all the time. Lol.

 

Ps: I recommend getting a camera that

1) aero dymanic, looks good mounted on helmet too.

2) removable battery. Learnt my lesson buying cheap camera with in built battery, can't be change when battery life last like 40min or less.

 

I feel the most important feature is the battery, the rest is a bonus. Currently using drift HD 1080

In sbf forum, there are discussion about placing camera. i am thinking of putting on hemet but worry if my constant head turning wil cause unnecessary movement and blurring another question how to ensure it stays there. my old nokia handphone , i used velcro to stick it but will a heavier camera stick??

I mount my gopro on top of my helmet. May look silly to others though. Video remains clear with constant head turning but not sure if this applies to ur old nokia handphone. Gopro mounts uses 3M tapes and it really sticks.

You wan cheap I sell u my keychain cam. $5. Lol. U wan then I check if it's working still.

 

Next level of cheap u can check websites like dx.com, deals and all those online shops and browse for anything suitable.

 

Next level would be my old cam type rd32ii which is around 130.

 

But again I strongly advise to make sure you get something with replaceable battery. Very very important.

Most of the better action cam comes with firmware that helps with movement, jerky, shaking and stuff like that.

 

For old Nokia, I doubt so. I think most point and shoot cam won't be able to handle the amount of vibration on a bike.
