I skidded last week..After i skidded and fall, my speedometer seems to give me wrong readings. The reading is lower than what i am travelling at. Anybody knows what happened? btw i'm riding a spec 2..

i had similar problem oso, i thk ur fall had coz e speedo inner coil to mis-align. i thk hav to find a veri skillful mechanic den can solve e defeat. for mi, i change e unit.

hi guys after drop my bike due to accident my speedo meter abit loose riding ver s super 4 so i tried to tighten it but it cant ..i open it but in the end cant screw in ... guess they screw in to those syrofroam inside the meter or not sure...how they screw

 

main point where to buy for ver s speedo meter n can change the bulb very dim cannot see the meter....

 

ver s can use those spec 2 or 3 those black colour speedometer

when u unable to screw the crome cover back, that means the plastic that the screw that is going to screw on is crack or broke off....u need to change the whole white meter holder inside...think its not cheap..meter parts can be bought separatelyu can go to any bike shops or fjt to get jus the parts u need...

 

bulb very dim? izzit bulb blown? or the meter faded liao so not clear? i know vers S and pb 1 meter all mostly very dim.. and the bulb is somehow the size is more special.. not easy to get... maybe u can try boon siew for the bulbs..

 

ver S meter using speedo cable... spec 1 onwards all using electronic type... so it, wun fitted...

u can try asking for 2nd hand... alot of motorshops kept old verS parts.... or u can try scrapyard

u can try the motorshop near 219 where ppl go rewrap their seat..

its jus located near the junction of jalan besar and kallang... they have a banner outside saying buying scrap or coe bike.. i went past b4 and saw alot of meter inside..

 

the white holder io think cost ard $60-$80 at lab...

 

bulb u try get from Boon Siew... its the honda agent...

i tried ah boy before but they dun have the right size..cos our meter uses 2 different size.. but 1 side of the meter tends to look dimmer than the other 1...

buy from shops!!!! i beg to differ

i had the same scenario once

bought some epoxy (can buy from hardware shops)

into the screw hole that's supposed to hold the screw leave it upside down for 20mins just before it hardens then just clamp both sides shut

as for the brightness of the meters think it wise not to go shops that chop but rather look for Dennis in the forum as he's doing those bulbs (got colour somemore, i not trying to advertise for him hor i don't even know him)

 

hope it helps but if you're doing the above best is to instal bulb before putting in the epoxy

Try checking the connection to the battery. Might be lose.

me riding a spec 3 and its normal for your speedo and rpm to go 1 round when u switch on ur bike.

u at the junction b4 219 thes tis quite ulu shop out side got one big banner banner.. try noticin it..

yes the round black cover for the speedo meter casing.u need to open that cover to replace the speedo meter bulb.the black which is covering the white casing inside.

where is fjt btw...?and how much its cost?
