the best time to buy a car is when you can afford it.

Good one archenemy..........

That's solid advice.

But to answer Junction's question:-

Dude, Singapore is the only bloody country in the world where buying a car can be so mindboggling becos prices of COEs can be a derivative of the stock market. So your guess is as good as mine....

back to Archenemy's answer...heh heh

thats the most appropriate advise i can give...

dont be another goondu....think car cheap...so go & buy....3 months later...reality bites...realised that they cant keep up with the payments...then let the finance company tow away your beloved...

be warned that buying a car not only involves the installments...that only takes up about half of your committments...

other major expenses include your petrol, season parking, cashcard expenses, poisoning like accessories, In Car Entertainment, performance parts...blah blah...

i thought i would be happy with a stock vehicle...i was wrong...

im now going for performance parts to make my vehicle accelerate as fast as a 2 litre car..

dont say you wont....YOU WILL.

Ya~ Cant agree more on wad was stated by archenemy... You'll really feel the pain when its time to renew insurance and Rd Tax too... I mean dats on top of the expenses paid for the ones mentioned previously...

So do consider carefully...

So make you will have enough money to eat and also buy brithday and xmas presents, see doctor. these are unforseen :)

If you're working in CBD area, it's gonna cost you lots more to own one! as parking and erp will cost few hundred a month liao...ride bike in better...

words of wisdom...

i urge the threadstarter to think carefully before committing..

its not only the installments...thats only about half of your monthly outlay to feed the vehicle...

but if you think you can afford it..by all means go ahead..

the last thing you can ever think of when you work your calculations.

when the road tax and insurance comes every year, can you pay off?

don't tell me installments, it is a ridiculously silent killer.

don't tell me you put aside a sum every month to pay off when it comes, most of the time, it never happen.

It is easy to get a great deal on a new car if you know where to go. You can try going to each dealership and ask, but that is a long task. There is actually a site I found where it shows all the costs and lets you compare cars. You also can easily find that specific car you are looking for. At Howdy Honda you get the very best vehicle purchasing experience achievable.
