i just buy a scram. i feel the brake light is so tiny that i don't know the car will see it or not. i want to install another brake light. Is it legal to install another brake light? i don't want to get fine or etc for illegal stuff. the bike is fully according to legal rules, even the trye is road tyre. i don't go off road anyway.

many thanks for the advice.

maybe you can put a box behind your bike. some boxes now have very big brake lights (reflectors). they are very useful to let the cars see. don't worry about how the bike looks. what is important is to let the cars see you. :p

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

Besides the stock brake/tail lights, I installed another LED set from Acerbis. You won't know when the stock bulb will blow, I wouldn't like to compromise my safety when riding in Malaysia, especially on NSH. Never had problems with the annual inspections.

becos i learn from the forum that installing led light is illegal. i was thinking of getting a strip of red led light. install just under the brake light on the edge of the plate. the strip has quite a number of led on it as it is quite long, when the brake it press, the led light and the orignal brake light will light up together. but after reading that tp may fine these installation. I worry. so i am asking for clearifcation.

How about installing the Givi Wingrack with the light on it.It will light up when the brake is applied.

i used to install a 3rd brake light on top of my box..and i passed inspection without any problems...

as someone mentioned...make sure its red though...

or you can use some 3M reflective stickers...those high quality ones...they are darn good too...but they are only for others to see you...not to show others you are braking...
