well after about 8k++ km i felt the bike pick up become slightly more sluggish, like not as responsive.

then remove tank change air filter etc lor..once taken out can see the filter's paper fins are all gray gray, compared to the bright orange of a new one.

 

metal vibration? how old is ur bike? due to wear and tear..piston could be loose le.

er..other less dire possibilities i can think of, chain? cam tensioner?

bring to ur friendly mech for a more thorough diagnosis. good luck

the way i observe, worn out cam tensioner tend to result in ticking sound w/ the following behavior:

- usually when engine is freshly started (e.g. after parked for quite some time)

- only when throttle is closed and engine running idling

- does not have consistent rhythm or beat (provided the cam tensioner is not too badly worn out already)

Hey my bad... I missed this list i suppose. Just a note there is a slight change in the meeting place. I figured it is not the best thing to piss off the management of Al Ameen

I think I will help us better understand as a group the factors involved in traveling in a convoy... Heh heh heh

 

The things to note:

Please ensure that your bike is reliable.

That you have my number, just in case.

The road is fairly dark, so I hope no one has a problem with that.

 

We are going to have nasi lemak. There is a dimsum place but it is not halal for me. The fried chicken is pretty good there though. There really isn't much other than that. (it is really just an excuse to ride. So come with the right game play on...)

 

Things to bring:

1. Passport
   
2. White card
   
3. Cash card
   
4. Touch and Go Card (can share one...)
   
5. Fuel and Food Money (The last time I went I spent less than $40RM
   
6. Bring a jacket (optional) The air will be ridiculously cold.*
   

 

 

* I was told that men who occasionally expose themselves to cold are very "strong"... Go figure...

 

I am pretty excited about this trip! The ride will be awesome!

uncle lim i think is only a small group try not to go 2 group is not easy to look for missing one or waiting at the rd shoulder , the truck go very fast.....

usually just follow the taillight in front of u will be gd enough.

if not, can try go via 1st link. less highway = more street lamps available.
