that grade does not survive my 2 weeks of whacking to 9k RPM.... But its $10/bottle so what the heck....

hmm...i use 10w40 and i am very liberal with the throttle. still doing well at 1200km. fully synthetic though. i'm talking about 9k and above rpm.

sad thing is my toppest speed is only 140km/h on the inaccurate speedometer.

I was just amazed cos it took me 3 mins to find the exhaust. To me, it was a new brand. After googling then i knew it originated from spain, and under piaggio.

HI Guys

I was reading reviews about Sim Lim Square and there were some horror stories. Some were saying once they swipe their credit card they charge more than they promised in the beginning. Some were saying they were giving goods with missing parts etc etc. Its just plain robbery.

Are these stories true? Is it a bad idea to go visit Sim Lim Square for computer gadgets and mobile phones?

If they charge more then discussed, U can choose not to sign/buy.

Missing parts? You can check the seal to see if it is tampered with.

^these are things u check for regardless of shop reputation

IMO, Stay away from the first 3-storey. Their knife are 10-foot machetes.

Sim Lim Square is a good source for computer parts/gadgets if you know what u are buying

Remember to collect ur GST(goods and services tax) refund before leaving Singapore

i tink even locals encounter such malpractices, not to mention if you were to walk into the shops sporting a foreign accent.

what exact gadgets are you looking for?

if it's computer parts, most shops have namelists printed on A4-sheets available at customers' convenience.

but if it's cameras, then u got to be a bit more careful. usually shops which are authorised dealers can't really sell u at any price, other than retail price. so there's no bargaining margin to bargain to begin with.

if it's china made products like mp4 players, electronic photo frames, etc, the best strategy is to find out and compare prices against a few different shops. can give u a better gauge.

Thanks guys. I can do the comparing and stuff the one that got me concerned was that at many reviews they have said that once they give the credit card they charge more than they initially agreed on. Is that true? What can I do if something like that happens?

if the amount on final bill differs, i guess u can don't sign on the receipt right?

:cheeky:

i don't think the salesman will attempt anything funny if u were to walk off from a dishonest deal. the shop layout there are pretty open concept. :)
