What do i tell them to get the maintenance free one? Just tell them i want a cbr150 battery and they will know? & how much is it? hahah.ask so many question~

tink they only offer you the maintenance-free battery.

:cheeky:

nowadays hard to find the normal battery w/ water that requires toppping up of battery water (i.e. maintenance type) already other than those that come stock w/ the bike.

I used to be able to get 140km/h easily. but now reach 120km/h then dont want go up alrady. then somemore my bike sometimes jerk where the rpm go up and down suddenly followed by stalling. & it has been around 5 months since i had it full serivced.

oh. i get what u mean. get it done at more reputable shops using original honda parts lah. only concern w/ doing such major stuff at JB is their lack of easy access to original cbr150 parts there. hence they may substitute for non-original parts that have short lifespan. :(

where did u get the previous full service done at? maybe they dint do a good job. i did mine at 92,000 km. odometer went 1 complete round already and now at 37,000km. engine still running fine, as in i dont get issues like engine oil getting 'eaten' and top speed remains consistent. i guess if the job's well done, it will last?

Hi. Im a new rider, bought my cbr150 in dec 2010.

Just want to ask, ive been having difficulty to start my bike, especially in cold weather. The idle is just too low suddenly, and i didnt adjust the timing from its default coz i know its not a permanent solution. Have to rev very slightly just to get it to catch for about 4mins till engine's warmer (if not it'll idle low and die everytime i try). Only then can i let go throttle and by then rpm's ~1.3k. Then i'll usually warm up 2 mins more to up rpm to 1.5k. Previous owner changed to yuasa battery april last year so i ruled batt problem.

I just went to check my carb and sure enough, got wear and tear marks (also, mileage 71k+ ardy). Mech said, bike 6 years ardy so should change carb if i want my bike to 'feel young'. What do you guys think? If i should change, go jb can trust them?

New carb is $200 dude.... I also live with this 'problem' everyday... Just use choke to warm it up. Or just start and go... Don worry, won't spoil one.

Oh yah the mech said this is normal, just need longer warm up or use choke. Just need confirmation from other bikers. Thanks man :thumb:

Shell works really well for my CBR150, with shell 98 I can go 400km with needle of petrol gauge touching the red line. Don't receive same Fuel efficiency with SPC and Esso, Caltex abit more ex so haven't tried, do you guys fare best with Caltex?

wow...400km seems real good.

i only manage abt 300km on mine usually b4 i head for the pump.

using exxon92 all e way.

FC per liter works out to abt 40km + a few decimal points.

tink must be prepared for some jams (bike pushing) at e customs if aim for trip in the late night.

:cheeky:

yes, i'm keen on agl trip...need the pros to show me around, especially for rare cbr parts

not much of rare parts in JB for cbr loh

haha

xbfish is heading in to look for coverset for his spark lc135

im going in to look for a cheap chain

some of the stuff that can be done over at JB:

- sprocket + chain

- change engine oil & spark plug

- change tyres (not those made in japan type)

- brake pump kits

- settle electrical issues, etc

for other repairs/replacement, abit hard to find already.

:p
