hey bro, dun worry about the seat. i'm 68kg and i used to be able to pillion my roomie who is about 74kg last time.

bike small = seat small. LOL

just dun expect the seats to be comparable to phantom or super 4 which has a generous seating space. it's alright for 2 person de, only thing is tt bike feels underpowered with 2 person on it. but then again, which 2B bike doesn't have this problem minus the 2 strokers? :smile: :smile:

Hmm I'm sold on this bike. From reading here, think it's the best out of the 2B sport bikes available (Low FC, not bad looking, enuff power). Was wondering if Boon Siew has the 150 model though. Their webby only lists the 125 cc make. Thinking of geting it first hand but not sure if can get ard 4k (or less).

Anyone know of a good shop(s) to get one of these? Might have to find time to go out surveying soon.

Current Rides:

FEB 07 -> NOV 08 [CBR 150]

AUG 08 -> AUG 12 [XJR400]

AUG 12 -> ??? [DUCATI MONSTER 696]

Hi merbukcorner !!

I don't think they sell CBR125 in singapore (i'm in indonesia though)...

CBR125R only available at Europe & surroundings.

In Asia, we have the better one which is CBR150R!!

WIth DOHC and 21ps power, a stock CBR150R could run 150kph.... ! Trust me mate!! Just find a straight long stretch, and you'll head up for 150 :)

I second it. Very happy with the low fuel consumpation vs the power output provided by the cbr 150r. As long as i maintain 7000 rpm for most of my travel (60 -100Km/h), one full tank could last for 5 days to and forth pasir ris to clementi plus some side tracking.

Cheers!!! :smile:

btw, just changed my rear wheel bearing yesterday, $28.. damn suey, riding in the rain den suddenly hit something. i think it's a hole in the road.. suddenly bike not stable already, like fishtailing all the way.. lucky never fall.. :sweat: send to shop, they say bearing spoil.. after replace den ok liao..

LOL, even after riding for almost 2yr plus liao i am still a noob, i can't relly troubleshoot my bike

can't help much too, ermm i usually send my bike straight to a bike shop after i buy for an inspection. for urs, just try riding first lor, see wat things u find strange or weird.

i always feel that a visual check on a bike is useless for untrained eyes like mine. must start riding then will know if everything's alright.

common problems for this bike, is slipping of gears, meaning when u are in 4th gear, suddenly got TOCK sound then u're in another guy. or perhaps the bike engine cough cough a bit here and there.

think i better leave it to the experienced guys out here. :cheeky: :cheeky:

yup nowadays really see a lot liao. not surprising lah, with the bikes wonderful Fuel consumption and practicality, consumers will choose to get the best deal mah.

as for the chain, i will say it depends un ur riding style, check ur sprockets by seeing if the teeth are nice and round or sharp and thin. worn sprockets will appear sharper and thinner than it used to be due to wear and tear.

chain see how much slack there is? another tell tale sign is when the chain cannot be tighten anymore right? the rear axle there would have been maxed to the end le.

i will estimate the stock chain to have a lifespan more than 10k mileage. perhaps 15k or 20k ba. :smile: :smile:

You might want to find a reliable shop to do a full servicing. For my case, lucky i took my friend advise to do it. When do the servicing we discover that there not much engine oil left and could cause serious engine problem if i continue to ride without engine oil.

Very cheap skate the motoriam... did not even fill up a bottle of engine oil yet tell me everything do until suysuy when i collect the bike.

Good Luck! :)

anw, i alr encountered a prob. my bike will rev up on its own :confused:. for eg, im in neutral gear, the bike suddenly rev up till 5rpm without me touching the accelarator. and when i switch to gear 1, the bike will move by itself when i release the clutch (didn't touch the accelerator). anybody know wad's wrong?
