guys another question is there any way to make the bike acceralate faster legally?

Change sprocket size. Faster acceleration but lower top speed.

or. use v-power.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what's the difference between the 125 and the 150 version besides the cc of course? Some of my friends told me to stay away from the 125 version but I'm not really sure why. Also, how "heavy" is this bike maintenance wise? Cough alot?

Any help?

Rodimus, CBR125R is only sold at Europe. I don't think there are any in Singapore and all other asia countries.

Beside their cc differs, 125 version has SOHC (150=DOHC).

The power only 13ish ps.

hey guys.. i need some info about our cbr 150 chain.. i tink my chain is quite loose but not sure why is it becos i accelerate too fast ? and how u guys clean and lube ur chain? i'm using chain wax.. thanks

Maybe you should check and adjust your chain regularly. If it's gettin loose... tight it up a bit.

Use a proper "chain cleaner" and lubricate it with "chain lubricant".

Don't use a WD40 or any other penetrant oil, they're going to spoil your chain.

my bike is experiencing some problem recently... say for example, when approaching a traffic light, clutch in and "gliding" the rev would go down, and die... this happens to me quite often these days...

anyone encounter the same thing? could it be cause of the cold weather (i got them when i just start the bike)

i just changed a new plat plug.. is it the cause of it?? or some water get into my bike somehow...

haven gone servicing yet.. but tmr going to MAH.. maybe can ask them check it out.

my bike siao2 one.. like on neutral without revving.. will go ard 5 RPM. i noticed tht this happens after i ride tht bike and the engine becomes hot lor.. is it due to overheating? or maybe i need to change the air filter? (got read abt this in the previous posts..)

yup.. it's because of the cold weather and ur bike not warm up yet.. another reason is the timing(idling) of ur bike. u can adjust ur timing by the small knob ard ur carburettor(duno how to spell. haha) .. or just ask the bike shop to do it for u.. i tink it's free.. mayb ur idling is too low that wenever u did not throttle, the engine wld die.. and it's not because of spark plugs or water.. hehe..

usually after travel a long time, ur bike would b really warmed up, so the idling wld b quite high.. but wen ur engine is not warmed up, the idling is quite low and ur engine will die off. to prevent tis is just to adjust the idling, make it a bit higher(i forgot how much) or just remember to warm ur bike longer.. haha.. sorry if i like keep repeating myself. just to make things clearer :cheeky:

Could be the setting. The air, fuel mixture thing.

My bro's X1 used to stop halfway while riding, visited a mec who adjusted the settings, and now, all is well.

Wow.... hopefully there will be 2007 CBR125R in Singapore :D

I'd like to have those beautiful front fairings :p

went to my bike shop and the mechanic did some stuff and everything seems fine now. he reckons tht my RPM was abnormal probably due to overheating of the engine. so yea.. hope everything else is ok.

Thanks all, my bike is less than a year old... only 9000km mileage nia. But at 8000 rpm the speed is less than 110kph... dunno why sia. I will bring it for servicing today ba then see how

Isn't this normal?

I'm on highest gear, rpm at 7-8k is abt 110-120, w/o maxing out the throttle... Do you guys have this as well? OR like JAde, i need to service?

When I first got the bike the speed at 8k rpm was 110kph, but now it's lesser, about 102kph. I bring my bike for servicing already but the top speed seems to be reduced. Now max 130kph only, last time it was 140kph.. :weep: But at least my 90kph max speed problem solve le :cheer:
