anyone changed their light bulbs b4? any brand to intro? e other day i bought e Osram Silverstar but cant fit cos e 'legs' dun match my sockets. lookin for normal but brighter bulbs and not white light. btw, i heard forza can on both headlight izit? cos mine only 1 side... will turning on both headlight cause e batt to fail faster?

Our Forzas have a "special" type wattage bulb. H4 type BUT its wattage runs on a 35W/60W. On the OSRAM you bought, youll need a cutter pliers to trim off the 3 ears of the bulb to get it to fit properly. This method is the ONLY way to fit a "regular" H4 bulb. Still, this type of H4 bulb is not recommended since the Scoots headlites are always ON. Ive had my 2 Forzas terminal connectors that connects the stator & rectifier burn out on me. Dont know why except probably the heavier load the headlites created since they were running 55/60.

My remedies were, I was lucky enough to have a ride buddy whos a flight steward of an International Airlines & he is always stationed in Japan when hes out of the country. I had him source me out the "right" H4 for our bikes. I ended up buying a PIAA Brand 35/60. Forgot how much I got em but believe me, it burned a hole in my pocket coz you knw how much PIAAs cost. Another is a Daytona Headlight switch which allows me to turn off my headlights during the day. I had an electrician solder the switch to the harness which still allows me to work the flashers on the OFF position of the switch. That way i can still flash oncoming traffic or alert other motorist or pedestrians.

Installing a switch helps prolong the life of my headlights, the stator, rectifier & battery of the scoots. Without these stuff i installed on the bike, my only other alternative was to install HID which was an option but wanted it as a last resort. HIDs are also good for the scoot coz HID kits only use up 30-35W depending on the make. Remember, the park lights on the signal light indicators are also ON along with you headlites so adding a switch for the headlites are in no way rendering yourself blind to other vehicles.

I can post pics of the switch on my Forza if anyones interested as well as the bulbs, both PIAAs & what to trim off on the standard H4 if thats what your planning to install. Cheers....

i install e switch already but sourcing for the bulb has been tough... cos our bulb 3 pin i diff from those normal H4... n an original bulb cost ard S$26... HID is a good choice but however our government is strict on illegal mods like HID... :sian:

Haha... Not just yet. trying to figure out which bike to get leh... Seems like a Forza250 has same fuel consumption as super 4? Is it heavier?
