can bargain for less than $2k...

 

go for $1.8k like that...mileage?

 

most importantly,

-check for any mods being done to the bike, and ask for the stock assessories if any has been removed..

-check for any damage like scatches,broken plastic.. to the fairings/covers..etc.. of the bike

 

if low mileage, better price of coz..

and ask if still got owe bike shp money if he said finish paying already then ask for the bike's log card.. its something like the birth cert of the bike.. u can only get it afta u finish paying the instalments...

To all potential buyers of the new SPARK 135, please read on:

 

 

Agent (HONG LEONG) SPARK 135 (sport rim model)

Bike appearance similar to imports. Both clutch and auto available

However, they have a HONG LEONG sticker at the steering section

Bike warranty 1 year. Any problem can claim back even if engine exploded.

Price for RR and RX model same.

Original Yamaha Owner manual / instructions tat comes with bike in ENGLISH.

Japanese "ENKEI" branded SPORT rims in full black. Quality are GOOD.

Tyres are tubeless IRC. (Look like acceptable road tires)

Price is around $4500-$4800 on the road

Price includes IU, LTA Transfer, COE and insurance for 35 years old (2nd party)

 

Parallel imports SPARK 135 (newer sport rim model)

Bike appearance similar to agents. Both clutch and auto available.

However, they have a Thailand wording stickers at the steering section

User manual in Thai. Warning labels on bike also in Thai

Bike NO warranty from YAMAHA. Seller will be responsible for 3 months.

If something wrong with the engine then good luck to you.

"RACING BOY" SPORT rims in different colors & patterns depending on batches.

Tyres are 'no brand" poor quality rubbers (For safety sake, pls change if you have these)

Price is around $4200-$4500 on the road

Price includes IU, LTA Transfer, COE and insurance for 35 years old (2nd party)

I'm surprised that are still many of these for sale at smaller shops.

Price is a big difference compared to the earlier pioneers Spark 135 due to several factors:

- COE price increase from $400+ to $800+

- Later batch all come with Sports rim whether you like it or not.

- Most 135s are parallel import model. Cheaper but not Yamaha dealer supported.

- Bike shop can sell you even cheaper price if you have a bike to trade in.

sorry this is the double post from the Why Pay More.

 

I am going to take a bike lessons and hopefully able to get the 2B license within few months down the road.

 

I am totally new to the buying of the bikes. I have been thinking of getting the first hand of the Honda Wave. Can recommend me which shop that can get me an honest deal?

 

How much is the first hand of the Honda Wave? How is the installment scheme is like for the most of the shops? I am currently 22 this year, how much do I have to pay for the insurance? Also I am a foreign student studying in one of the polytechnic here. Around how much do I have to prepare to pay for the downpayment before I can get the bike?

 

If you have been through the experience of buying the first-hand of Honda Wave, can tell me how much did you pay and installment scheme like?

 

I am sorry for asking too much questions here but really hope someone can enlighten me so I can get the rough idea on how much money I should prepare. :sweat:

My shop offer:

 

Taking in my Spec 1 for $4900

Selling Spark 135 (Agent) for $5000

 

Is it worth it???

 

Wat is the standard price at other shops???

 

for Spec 1 and Spark 135???

jus change mi vtec to spark t110.trade in for free bike.don think spark t135 is tat ex .try nogo for sport rim+tire+box+insurr+rd tax.

Guess wat??? I've joined the cub family. Sold off my super 4 Vtec 1 today and will be getting my White and black Spark T 135 (agent bike) on friday.

 

Looking forward to going outings with you guys... Anyway I've invested in a set of rear disc brakes and new rims (to accomodate the rear disc brakes), racing footrest and tt900 tires.
