People who always follow their friends and say Aprilla / Mito maintainence higher and dont know what they are talking about.

Its ridiculous that you can think a bike costs 500 bucks a month to maintain. Not even class 2 bikes cost that much.

For basic maintainence like change EO/wash carbs, pistons the price is almost the same. Even for sprokets and chains its the same thing.

BUT, when it comes to specialised parts, thats when its gonna hurt you deep deep.

Prime example: My mito's rear brake pump decided to die. Price? SP pump= 40 bucks

Aprilla pump = 120 bucks. Mito pump = 180+ bucks.

My wallet cried a river that night.

So if you are lucky and get a bike where not everything is breaking down on you, the maintainence is basically the same. Good 2t, good EO, frequent checks. Kinda gives you time to save up for that big bomb thats gonna come when parts start to fail.

(I decided that 2b "sports bikes" aint really worth all that trouble and changed to a phantom. Ill continue my sports bike love story in 2a i guess :p)

Things done so far:

Brand new rear suspension, new rubbers in carbs, serviced carbs, double bubble windscreen, voltmeter, Pilot Sport tyres, Did o ring + VAZ sprokets, front brake pump, gaskets + waterpump oil seal, Maxima CoolAid, 2nd hand rear hugger, 2nd hand front brake disc, Fizz Power brake pads front and back, 2nd hand front and back rims, Yusa battery, Reconditioned 2nd hand carbs by Planet, Front sticker number plate, front wheel bearings, new clutch plates, fortuna paintwork sponsored by spastic driver, Keitin tank pad.

Need sugar mommy for : Hel brake lines and top end overhaul.

I rode on TZM on almost full blast with the meter displaying 180km/h (but realistic speed should probably be 150 or 160km/h due to inaccuracy of the meter). Anyway, TZM is a powerful bike, but keep in mind that you might not enjoy riding too fast on a M, because the bike vibrates like crazy. Not only that, TZM is a little bit high on the cost side and an inexperienced rider might expect to find himself with jammed valves and pistons.

However, the bike feels good to ride on seeing the tank is so steep. So you can basically rest your upper body on the tank like a class 2a/2 bike.

A 2b bike at very high speed vibrates like crazy and isn't safe. If you're getting TZM for only speed, perhaps it be in your best interest to wait until you get your class 2a/2 licence. Those bike are bigger, more stable and speed is available, anytime.

Wah, mitosis. Really wanted to get your point across ah until post the same message three times. No explanations necessary. I know that the forum was lagging and the error message turned up so that was why you backtracked and reposted your messages. Anyways, if based on purely looks, I think the latest 06 RS125 really looks the best... :lovestruck:

Must have been a rich biker. Cos seriously, if any rider wants to upgrade his licence soon, I don't see the rationale of spending that much money on a 2B sportsbike...

I see .. thank for your reply.

Is there any showroom (or site) that I can visit for details / test ride. sorry my knowledge about singapore bike is limited. I dont have any idea about price tag of S4 or GSR. having 2b licence :-( ... dont want to wait for licence upgrade.

Are we talking about approx 8k for a new Mito / 06 RS 125 ?

i think we're talking about 14-16k on the road price for those bikes. not really worth buyin 1st hand imho. unless you're a die hard fan for either and you got the money to spare.

well been using TZM for a 6yrs already, didn't do a major overhaul till now...for a TZM, if ya keep it well and service it regularly, it will serve ya good. yeah, the power valve tends to melt often every 2-3 months if ya over rev to 8-11k. other than that its only RM20 to change and service it...small amount if I must say..haha happy choosing~!
