Hi guyz.......what i gonna post here is just my point of view/55 cent.....:cheeky:

BTW no heart feeling ya....

To test your machine to the limit while it new to you is NOT ADVISABLE.

1st try to understand/well oriented the bike character follow by build up your capability in handling powerful machine before you gonna test it to the limit........

one more thing, my advice alway RESPECT the throttle cause this friendly device actually can cause big disaster or worse, end someone life.

plus, also try to understand the breaking system capability nor strength of the breaking power, this 'fellow' will safe life.....and minimize damage to the situation.

once you master or at least familiar with this technic call 'control' then you should bring it down to the proper arena for testing....not public road/highway (in fast speed situation, all thing happen in split of sec/blink of the eye).

Be it a 2nd hand or brand new bike. i guess the real reason is we r old bro..

Maybe to me, getting a class 2 bike is a passion, not bcos for the trill of high speeding.

i agree with asjunior. learn yr bike first bfore u push it to the limits. know yr own limit first bfore knowing the bike's limit....hehehe....i've met my bike's limit on the highways, but i hav yet to meet my bike's limit on the track.......maybe i wont.....hahahaha

and yah....not advisable to test on highways......but i did it myself...hahaha....well....sumthing dat i cant resist. try at yr own risk....and be smart and fast in judging the road situations. but once again, NOT ADVISABLE to try on public road. up to u all....;)

one q bro msf67: if u change the rear or front sprocket size wont the speed readings have error on the meter. u need some hardware like speedo healer or something to correct the ratio.. i abit blur on this part.

hmmm.....wat i know, hearing from people/frens, only when u chg the front sprocket den yr speed wont be accurate anymore. if rear, it wont affect. coz wat i heard the speed sensor is at yr front sprocket.

i'm not too sure though....correct me if i am wrong. i wd like to confirm too. if i am right, den really is my bike can hit 282 at least...:cheeky:

anyone can confirm this???

Most bikes have a margin of error in the speedometer from the factory and they always read HIGH. Honda says the top speed of the bike is 165mph, or about 265kph.

If you want to know how fast you're actually going, you can either use speedo healer and correct your stock speed reading, or check your RPM and this site:

http://www.gearingcommander.com

You can't go any faster than your mechanical gearing will allow- the 07 CBR is listed (on that site) as having stock gearing of 16-42 (US version) but mine came with 16-41. Enter your max RPM and you will see the max possible speed in each gear.

Unless you've changed your gearing from stock, you weren't *actually* going 282... but you were still going damn fast.

any sprocket changed be it the front or rear one wil affect the accuracy of the indicated speed.. but the irony is the speedo wasnt beri accurate in the 1st place..

at least compared to smaller bike ours considered more accurate liao.

not accurate i dun mind is example is:

real speed is 80kmh, speedo display 82-85kmh

if kana like real speed is 80kmh, speedo display only 70-75kmh then jialet liao.

Kana speed traps or cameras dunno whether can appeal anot

Thats a highly interesting website bro... Not to mention it can be quite useful also for those who had changed or thinking of changing their sprocket sizes. Upz...

That site is pretty useful, especially the parts about chain wear related to the number of links in your chain and sprocket sizes. I hadn't thought about that before. I ended up going to a 15-40 setup to get a bit more grunt down low at the expense of a bit of top end speed.

I can only claim credit for posting the link ;) I don't know who built the site.
