was so glad i had a quiet stock pipe...

 

sometimes hours after hours of rambling is not really fun..

a stock super 4 sounds much nicer than my stock pipe..

just undo nut at the bottom, tug with one hand while the other is holding on to rear wheel. i believe the welding marks u see if a part of the baffle.......unless some bright sparks at LTA decided to make the baffle a perm. fixture.

 

let me know if this works.

Anyone using maxima cool aide? Any feedback?

tried it on 2 bikes but not the GTR, alittle better than stock but not a tremendous improvement.

 

will be trying engine ice, any feedback on this?

The better the coolant, the cooler your engine, and the hotter your legs.

 

So if you want less heat on your legs, use a glycol based coolant, not a waterbased one.

 

I believe Engine Ice is glycol based (contains antifreeze), as does all the standard green coolants.

 

Maxima cool aide and Redline waterwetter are water based, so your engine block will be damaged if you happen to leave your GTR in a freezer.

Ok. Guess we don need the antifreeze in our climate. Been using engine ice. Not much diff only that it seems to cool down the engine slightly faster as compared to oem coolant. But I feel its overpriced. Wanna try the maxima coolaide. Been looking at reviews. Apparantly, the antifreeze properties reduces the cooling effect in tropical climates like ours. As such, the coolaide performs better. Will try and give feedback. Stay tuned.

I've used Coolaide on my ZX14 before. The good thing about it is it will show any leaks, as it dries up and leaves a red powdery residue behind.

 

Bad thing is, even though it was a brand new bike, it seemed to be leaking in many places! I switched to Waterwetter because I got tired of cleaning the red residue from my fairings and radiator.

this includes my normal request that coolant flush be used instead of water.
