Justice in a sense that either they take it seriously enough to suspend someone and make an example out of that person which would make our newsletters contain more interesting content rather the just "if you take part in MSSC events you will be punish or Blah Blah Blah Blak sheep. Or just let us do what we love best and RACE. In racing balls i meant like my Race licence and My love for racing(got to have balls right???)...

First of all SMSA dont run the MSS.. SIC run MSS.. If it involve a Singaporean, SMSA will only determine a rider a NOVICE when they never hold a license before or race in any sanctioned race before.. Even if SMSA certified a rider as NOVICE, the final say will always be SIC.. SIC will do a final check with SMSA and also Johor Circuit to determine the NOVICE Status.. Having said this, the final say will only be determine during Round 1 when the Malaysian Novice Riders agreed to have the foreign rider in the NOVICE class.. As long a there is 6riders than they can create a Novice Category.. And as for this year there is only 3 Malaysian Rider in both SBK and SS category.. So dat means they have no choice but to accept the foreign NOVICE to create a category or else everyone will be in open.. GO READ the SR.. The Novice is Open to Malaysian Only.. Usually in the past, when they already have 6 Malaysian in Novice, SIC will ask the Malaysian Novice to vote if they allow any foreign rider to compete in their Novice category.. And if a Foreign Rider receive less than 50% vote than they will compete in the Open Class. Just like last year SuperSport.. Massimo and Dhiraj supposed to be in Novice.. But there isnt enuf entry to create a NOVICE Class.. But do they care much?? THEY DONT.. They just SHUT UP and RACE.. During my 2yrs of track days at sepang and pg, and due to my popularity, im prepared to be voted out by them and ready for the Open class this year and was shock when there is only 3Malaysian in SBK Novice Class..

Precisely.. They can even use a towel to start/finish the race. As long as everyone on a starting grid and there is podium, it is a race eventho pg official call it a challenge not a race.. Its is unhealthy for long run because everyone will now look forward to track day as it offers a 5lap race or challenge. They dont need to have race license or insurance to participate in track day. Im sure there's a lot of rider out there who look forward to the monthly track day as it offers a 5lap at the end. Lots of my group of friends are like that. Why pay money for license and insurance? Why race in MSS which is 300km away? PG is only 40km away

 

why is it unhealthy? from what i see, alot of racers today previously participated from this challenge. i can only conclude that this is where a number of our SG racers came from. when they are confident enough they will jump onto the MRS/ MSS starting grid.

 

those who ask 'why pay money for license and insurance?' are not racers. well, maybe not yet until they are fast enough, confident enough, and look for more challenges which can only be found in a real race and participate in it.

 

those who are on the official grid are racers. they have official lap times. no matter how fast or slow they are. this separates racers in a MRS/ MSS/ cub prix from track day goers in a 5-lap challenge.

haha...i know 6 guys who applied SMSA racing licence and insurance for the "suppose to happen MRS and clubman races" in pg and these boys have not only got out and spend money getting the licences and isurances but also alot of money on their bikes, practise sessions, tires and effort only to see what??? how good the tarmac at pg is isit??? i dont think so lah...so who can blame any of these boys from racing in an MSSC event when SMSA really doesn't have much to offer??? Do you think they feel cheated??? what will their view of SMSA become??? Should i renew my licences for next year then??or does SMSA offer refunds to the boys who were promised races. Maybe they will organize one at the end of the year then quickly say "NAH, Atleast got one race in pg so yr money doesn't go to waste afterall...

not many of these boys have a bike for the track, another one for kallang and one more for the road. i think if they could afford it, they would. I'll be more the willing to help out my friends it that situation. My y125z is ridden 4 times a year when there are kallang events. Maybe i let one of my friends try the next round. i really dun mind not racing at kallang in aug. but i do wanna get back to full fitness and get back into MSS supersport asap. Got a little score to settle there...hahahaha

I feel that SMSA have bitten more then what they can chew ...

 

to be frank ... they shud do more than just exercising their authorities and pushing their weights around and telling their members who is BOSS ... dont do this, dont do that, if you do, i will cane you, discipline you, reprimand you and take away your racing licence ... etc. etc.

 

to be frank oso ... SMSA had seen glorious days from past management and leadership but like any organisations ... if you have monkeys, lions, elephants running the show ... you will get a circus ...

 

MSSC was formed out of frustrations by the many red tapes and the internal power struggle in SMSA ... MSSC functions more like by riders for riders kind of organisation ... no different than Storm Riders, Team 27 except maybe that MSSC concentrate more on dirt biking, supermotard and kids motorcross that includes racing ...

 

if the sportbike racers community in Singapore is not happy with SMSA and how the management is running the show and if you feel that you have been victimised...

 

i say ... exercise your voting rights ... officially complain to the President of SMSA ... complain to SSC if need be ... they are other channels to highlight your concerns ...

 

or you can also send in a request to MSSC President to ask MSSC to organise MSSC Superbike Championship etc. etc.

 

best of all if you guys can get together and form your own Club and organise your own Club races ...

I AM ESPECIALLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS OF THE CLUB AS WELL AS THE VOTING RIGHTS OF US, ORDINARY MSSC MEMBERS.

 

I honestly think that SMSA is trying its best to do what's best for the riders. They are all volunteers and do not get paid for doing what they do. I dont mean to scrutinize and criticise MSSC nor SMSA cos I know that there are lots of obstacles for EVERYONE cos we are in SINGAPORE. I am just trying to say that there are as much (IF NOT MORE) flaws in MSSC as there are in SMSA. So please live and let live; at the same time criticise objectively and constructively.

good to know that you are one of the founding member ... but why did you actually choose to be the founding member? as a founding member of MSSC ... it puzzled me that you do not know what has MSSC done for her adult members ... ... but if you ask me ... MSSC has helped its ADULT members access through Malaysia

with they off-road bikes in their vans, lorries and trailers with ease and full legality... MSSC has provided its members with a MX / Enduro / Coconut Plantation Track way way before even SMSA got any of its members any track to play and till now ... SMSA has yet to complete that Tuas Track ... so to me that does not count as 1 ... MSSC has helped its ADULT SM members to organize the SM MOTO series ... MSSC has helped its ADULT members organize the pitbike races ... MSSC has helped its ADULT members to organize the local and enduro races ... if in the last 3 years SMSA had only organised 3 local MX races and 1 international race then I can say that is really really PATHETIC for such a well established association and as a matter of fact an NSA ... they should have done MORE!!!!

I must admit ... although as an SMSA member myself ... I can vote for the SMSA committee members but I did not ... why? because some of the nominees I don't even know them and those that I know are not my favourite ... Let me clarify about the MSSC voting rights ... Ordinary Members can vote but Associate Members cannot ... but both types of membership share the same privilages to MSSC events ... best of all ... some of MSSC events are open to the Public too ... this is to cater for those who just want to participate in a one off event ... but not SMSA ... one has to be a member, must have racing licence, must have racing insurance on certain types of races, must have medical card and on some rare occasions the public can purchase day licence for the SMSA sanctioned events but will not have voting rights and best of all now it seem that some SMSA events no need SMSA licence at all ... whats u.p with all these DOUBLE STANDARDS????? you tell me ....

IMHO YES!!! NO its not ironic. MSSC is a motorcyle club ... if the members request for sportsbikes ... MSSC will look into it ... if the members request for Pitbikes ... MSSC have looked into it and organised Pitbikes events ... if the members request for SM events ... MSSC have looked into it and organised SM events ... if the members request for Enduro ... MSSC have looked into it and organised Enduro events and still looking at it ... if the members request for MX ... MSSC has looked at it and still in the planning stages ... and FYI ... MSSC is looking at organising Adventure Tours for its members ... to sum up ... MSSC looked and listen at what the members request and if it is within their means they will DELIVER!!!!

SMSA gave me photocopied newsletter by snail mail ... best of all by the time I read the newsletter some of the events are OVER!!! Well you can't blame me ... I checked my emails more often than I check my home mail ... maybe SMSA should send registered letters instead???

 

Sometimes when I grievences with the news in SMSA newsletter ... I have to spit at the newsletter and then have to type and print a complain letter and then send my pigeon ... oppps ... sorry ... I mean mail using Singapore Post ... by that time the letter reach SMSA ... my anger would have subside and I just feel very depressed ... sigh!

BUT I think some of the committee members are abusing the system ... only a certain 3rd party event company are allowed to run these sanctioned events and incidentally the owners of the company also holds RESPECTABLE POST in the committee ... and best of all from one of the events ... an important safety issue was breach and it seem that they are getting away with it ... what a SCANDAL!!! Volunteers you say ... I say they have hidden AGENDA to hold the post as Committee Members ... that is to monopolize the sanctioned race events in SINGAPORE!!! Conspirary Theory maybe but its just too bloody OBVIOUS!!!

 

If you think MSSC has more flaws than SMSA ... email them ... and I know MSSC will look into it ... and RECTIFY IT!!!

Can i know how MSSC gives away Van permit to its members.. Im MSSC member and not SMSA member.. I owns a motard, off-road bike and a supersport bike.. Ive requested for permit more than 10mths ago but till today i still got no news eventho ive told MSSC dat i and my group of fren always go off-road in malaysia.. MSSC reply to me is dat i must be a committee member in order to be eligible for the van permit.. But ive noticed dat MSSC gives away the van permit to even a non-motocross rider and for sure not a comittee member of MSSC. Ive actually noticed 2 permit dat is given to a non-motocross rider and a non-comittee member of MSSC.. One is a chinese superbike racer dat race in sepang.. Ive never seen him volunteer at any MSSC event nor does he own any motocross.. Another one is the guy dat brings in MAXXIS tyre.. Ive also never seen him at any MSSC event..

 

With all this i suspect or shall i say MSSC gives away the van permit on FAVOURITSM..

how and who MSSC decide to give the permits to is so classified that even I ... the cutest Kat in Spore, JB and some say Batam do not know who, what, where, when, why and how ...

 

you can tell MSSC President that you and your group of friends goes in JB everyday to bring your bikes also no use ... there are members that will be given higher priority ... maybe its unfair to you but fair to the person who has it ... so its all a matter of perspective ... its even unfair to me that as a committee member I am not able to use this special privilage ... but what to do??? ride a street legal bike lor ... and yes ... I have a sportsbike and MX/SM bikes too ...

 

and since you noticed so many things that even I dont take notice off ... why dont you personally asked those guys yourself ... ask them why they get and you dont get ... compare them against yourself ... maybe they more handsome, maybe their meat balls is bigger, maybe they have more bikes, maybe they have more friends, maybe they ride a certain brand of sportbikes, maybe they ride a certain brand of dirtbikes, maybe because they are Chinese, maybe because they are Malay, maybe because they are Indian, maybe because Eurasions, maybe because they are Mat Saleh / Ang Moh / European / American / Osama / Taliban / JI / PIE / ECP / AYE / KJE / Japanese / etc. etc.

 

If I am not mistaken the chinese superbike racer is one of the first few to get it when the permit was first introduced ... and I think he never lapse in ensuring that his renewal application is sent in ... and I think the club feels that as the pioneer who took the risk to actually be the first few to trust the club in this special permit ... personally even I would be obliged to honour his request everytime and anytime ...

 

about the guy that brings in MAXXIS tyres ... i dont know him that well ... but I know he looks very handsome and his wife looks very beautiful ... they are indeed a perfect couple in my eyes ... if I was a gay ... I would fight for him ... but luckily for his wife ... I am as straight as a plastic ruler ... ok ... ok ... back to topic ... he has sponsored some of the MSSC SM events and behind the scene he has helped MSSC on some other matters ... what exactly ... if you want to join MSSC just for the van permit privilages ... i say dont ... use that money that you can use to buy the van to buy a street legal Superbike/MX/SM/Pitbike or WHATEVER and ANYTHING ... trust me ... you will be happier ... "THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!!"

Amin, last checked you have not paid your 2007 membership fees? From what I know ... they accept cheque payment by mail ...

My membership expires on NOV 2007 (as shown on my membership card). I will renew just before they expire.

 

I maintain that no races have been done so far for ADULT MEMBERS>

All the so called "races" you mentioned are TIME TRIALS ONLY!

- THE 3 ROUNDS OF NUSAJAYA WAS TIME TRIALS

- LOR HALUS WAS ALSO A TIME TRIAL EVENT

 

Let me clarify about the MSSC voting rights ... Ordinary Members can vote but Associate Members cannot

So how do me and all of my friends become an MSSC ORDINARY MEMBER NOW?! We would very much like to nominate new people and remove people who are in it for their, and I quote you "hidden AGENDA to hold the post as Committee Members"

 

MSSC has helped its ADULT members access through Malaysia with they off-road bikes in their vans, lorries and trailers with ease and full legality...

Please don't get me started on VAN PERMIT ISSUES, You and I know that a selected few gets it and THE SELECTION PROCESS IS A WHOLE LOAD OF BULL! ITS NOT BASED ON ANY OF THE SAID CRITERIA I personally know people who are not on the committee nor have any contribution to the club who gets this permit. Hell, I also personally know people who are members of the club but are at odds with the committee member THUS MAKING IT HARD FOR HIM TO CROSS BORDER WITH HIS LEGAL BIKE

 

I can go on and on and on but lets just stop here... I still maintain that everyone is trying their best to do whats right to their own judgment. So lets criticize objectively and constructively.
