anyone fixed speaker systems on their x1?

if so, where u all fixed ar?

i heard at the front can install, is that true?....

think it may be possible to fabricate a bracket to hold the 2 speakers and then mount the bracket using a few securing points (such as the screws securing the piece of fairing in between yr legs when u ride)

:cheeky:

but there may also be security concerns if yr speakers were to be mounted this way. its abit too exposed.

can.. it is possible... you can fix it by the side of your side fairings... so most prob ur legs will b covering the speaker when u're riding... it's not too exposed like wad don said... its possible.. but i think it destroys the outlook of an x-1..

juz my 2 cents..

clutchless x-1 can use racing footrest. if you are using spoky rim u can put the rear disc break but if u are using sport rim u hafta mod the rim first...

if using spoke rims, need to replace rear wheel hub.

i happen to have a used hub suitable for brake disc (fixed onto my previous spoke rims) for sale

do let me know if u r interested

as for the modifying of sports rims made for drumbrakes to fit a discbrake setup, i tink its not too possible. guess the mechanics would be more willing to change a new rim instead of modifying ba...

yr x1 dint come with manual?

mine does come come with a manual in thai

but there are a few pictures showing how to dismantle the fairings.

maybe u wan to dropby my place to borrow the manual for photocopying?

so far i've managed to strip all the fairings except for the triangluar piece at the headlight area

:cheeky:

as for removing the rack, it shouldnt be too difficult if u can find where the screws are. they are probably allen key ones. for starters, u can start prying open those rubber coverings along the sides of the rack to uncover the screws~
