do all of you get very cold start in the morning....you got to kick like tons of time before it starts???knn me early morning got to kick like 5times before it starts and dies and need to kick again and again then it will start....

Nope. I took $400+ for Third Party under my bf's name.

 

LollyPoP got his First Party cheap, cos it's from.. Allianz? Or AIA? Anyway, it's A-something.

 

But that insurance don't cover sub-riders. To add sub-riders, you need to pay 30% of the premium, instead of the usual $25.

 

Hence I decided to take NTUC loh.

When my bike is new, I don't have this problem leh.. After getting the bike for about 2 months, start to have this problem.

 

I use the choke loh.

 

And wait until the engine warm up le, then move off.

my mech told me to solve the problem of the kickstart m\in the morning, need to wash the carb and retune it...anyway it is done after 1000km

just collected my x1 today! it sure is a great bike!

 

right after collecting, went to change tires at ah boy. dont know what irc vtec watever,, 68 buck for a pair inclusive of fixing. is it ex?

e33 n rack for 68

yup me also have this prob, but u use choke can liao, no nd to wash carb so fast.

dun know about irc vtec, but original is it also irc? most ppl say original not good, and change to bridgestone or Dunlop .....

 

maybe other rider know more about this, i didnt own 1... forgive me if my understanding wrong

i tink choke is one weird thing

used to own a KRR that die die must use choke then can start when left to park for >2hrs

 

now my X1...i 'train' it to become able to start w/o choke even in the mornings

just in case it becomes over reliant on choke like my ex-KRR

 

when the bike is super cold in the morning...after kicking starting...must play abit of throttle to prevent it from dying off

once the idling become more stable then engine wont die off already

 

although using of choke doesnt really have any negative effects on the bike...i guess if can start the bike w/o choke...it gives a mental feeling that the bike is more 'healthy'?

nbz... think yr mec screw u up lah!

there's onli A/F ratio to play ard for 4-stroke cub, u can try it yrself.

2 screws for u to play ard onli.

1 is idling speed, other is for A/F.

 

u can try to increase yr idiling speed.

i adjust mine to those after warm, 'SEEMS' like wanna die like tat.

but cold start CFM must use choke, & i dun see any wrong with it.

choke is there for its purpose.

choke is there for a purpose so make full use of it.

a choke either allows more fuel OR air into e carb to keep it running.

u open throttle to keep it running is totally different from using e choke.

guys.

while 'bathing' my x1 2dae , i decided to spray some wd40 on my side stand and main stand to prevent rusting.den after dat i see the metallic part of the exhaust maciam wanna rush like dat so i go and sprayed some wd40 on a piece of cloth and started wiping it.after doing so , the bike super shiny le.like new one like dat.

 

my question.

will my method of making the bike shiny spoilt the paintwork in the long run ??
