engine dies when idle....

Hi there..im riding a lagenda...recently have dis prob...after starting bike or travelling...when in idling mode,the engine will get softer n softer and die....i have to keep reving abit to keep the engine nt dying out...i wanna try adjust the idling speed but cant find the switch...can any1 help mi?

u have to tune d rpm.. and aso go check ur battery.. maybe its finishing? erm

change ur spark plug, idling set to 1500-1700, rev while warming up, longer warming up time, then shouldnt be a problem liao.

Hmmm, if u claim dat after travelling n u stop n d idling gets softer, it might be due to ur carb. Get it chk n svc, at da same time, do chng ur spark plug too. Dat will solve da problem.

Sounds like overfloating....

I have this prob befor on my Gilera SP, i dunno wether isit the same..

But u can try, change the pin in ur carb,cost around $25 .....

If the prob is still there, ask them for a testing carb for u to try, after trying see still got the prob not...that means changing a new carb...

 

i used to have this prob too,but my problem is when im riding at spd 100, suddenly no power, and slowly the enjine died, how could a auto bike enjine store, lol...than gone through so many times of service, notice is my carb ....lol...hope this can help u guys out there, ride safe ...

Hi there, it might be 2 problems. Either yr pilot jet setting is too rich, or yr idle speed is too low. At idle, if you 'blip' the throttle (i.e. give it a little fast twist, release immed and let the spring recoil back the slide), and the RPM dips before rising to idle setting, pilot setting is too rich. Adjust fuel screw leaner. After this, if idle speed is too low, adjust idle speed RPM (airscrew) higher. You can read the 'Sticky' threads above this forum on 'Carb settings' for the details. only problem from carb adjustment if you changed spark plug. Adjust carb correctly

do a one time carb servicing dude if uve never did it before. cheapest alternative, adjust the idling when the bike has fully warm up.

Hi Bro, I'm having the problem u described. SOmetimes when I blip the throttle, the engine just dies. I've had problem with my carb before but I've tuned twice already. I'm riding a Varadero 125. How do I do the adjust the pilot? Can help?

my rxk too.. engine will die especially if i engage 1st gear wait for green light.. sure die.. then i must play throttle abit2.. malu sia.. ppl beside me thought i wan to race.. haha

I got those problem too. But tht was my bike still new and fresh from da shop haha. After a few while it'll become better. But still not ok. SO i ended up increasing the idle timing , put Iridium Spark plug. Haha. Not onli solve my problem, got extra acceleration also hehehe

hi, bro it should be the clutch cable not tighten or the clutch finish liao, i also riding RXK
