1st is more expensive than 2nd or 3rd party .... brand new bike does not mean it will come with 1st party ..buyer has to voice out that he wants 1st party ....it is not a must for a bike shop to insure brand new bike with 1st party .... its ur own ignorance IMHO

Btw, did u know that self skid u will be given demerit point? And I'm not too sure if u need a police report to make any claim at any insurance company.. But if u do need a police report, i think u better pay for ur own.. No point waste ur previous points on few hundreds dollars..

I think even for some insurance company, 1st party also does not cover everything. For the 1st $500 u have to fork out of your own pocket, the rest than can claim...

y not sms me and ask me?

haha nvm.

when buy new bikes, bike shop will recommend 2nd party cos new bikes ppl will tends to spoilt/steal them, the chance of getting it stolen also high.

3rd party is the basic all bikes must have no matter new or old bikes.

1st party is very ex unless u wan full package but not worth it anyway.

for new bikes wif 2nd party, around 2 yrs 2nd party can get 3 rd party liao cos 2 yrs bikes consider ''old'' already.

if buy bike from shop by installment, bikeshop will insist on 2nd party cos if any thing happens to ur bike, they scared u dun wanna pay anymore.

then if buy from shop full cash, u can choose what type of insurance to take, 1st/2nd or 3rd party.

whether to take which party is up to u and ur budget.

btw 2nd party = 3rd party fire & theft, means if got fire or got stolen, got compensate abit.

some insurance company fix the rules is that if bike got fire/theft beyond a certain distance after the SG border, cannot claim.

1st and 2nd party can claim if stolen or got fire.
