HJC AC-11 is actually pretty good value for money. It's actually used by an AMA Superbike racer, and is Snell approved, and may cost less than the OGK FF-4. I am using the AC-11 now and it feels very good.

where can i get HJC helmets? Motorworld? wats the price range for FF?

Philosophy A: Ignore what everyone else thinks. Riding is a better way to get around. Ride paranoid and keep your skills sharp

Philosophy B: Ride with somebody who's better than you. You will pick up a handy trick or new skill just about every time you are out

Philosophy C: You don't need a big bike to prove ur passion for riding

Yeah, Motoworld. Someone mentioned that it costs about $300 for the AC-11. That's about the same as US street price (USD180+).

If you are buying a helmet solely for the sake of taking lessons in the circuit, then go for an approved open-face, because it is indeed hot. However, if you are intending to use the helmet for a long time, get a quality full-face. You won't regret it.

yes it is safe to use FF but might as well wear full suit with FF for full protection and let people see you learn lesson one.....buang the tires.....

possible but not practical.

Yes it's impractical to wear full suit if you are not heading to the track, but a full-face helmet is not overkill. If you hit the ground (or your bike) head-first (which is possible if you loses the front end doing emergency stop, or your rear slides out in the figure-8 or crank course), you will be thankful to have a full-face. More so if it's a girl in question.

I have never heard of a motorcycle instructor saying that full-face helmets are not allowed. In fact, when I wore my Arai to take my 2A, the instructor was commenting that I made a wise choice to invest in a good full-face. Whoever said that it's not allowed should get his facts right or get fired. :nono:

For practical FF is indeed an overkill but it doesnt mean shxt doesnt happened. And u dont need 80km/h to injured u badly. A 30km/h crash will injure u as well.

I can tell u most crash go down face first and I had experience it before.

BUt I am lucky and the rd is harder than u think. Those crashed before will know wat I mean.

Yes, ARAI is no problem becos of its DOUBLE-D rings design.

Anything else is not allowed, approved or otherwise.

i have a shoei x-11 (the shoei motogp model) and a hjc fg-15 (the model ben spies in motogp wears). i bought hjc first and i thought it was a very good helmet. but after trying on shoei, believe me i think fg-15 is kinda shity. esp if u are wearing S size. the difference is very obvious. if next time i have to change helmet, i will save up money to buy shoei or equivilant again. u wont know the value of a good but expensive helmet until you have personally tried it.
