Bro.. Does ur 2.5k include insurance/transfer fee all this? FYI, P-plate insurance is abt $800+.. Which mean if not included, u left abt 1.7k for the bike.. After transfer fee which is abt $80, So u left $1.6k for the bike.. Think u need slight more for that.. Unless 2.5k is for bike and u have set aside other cash for insurance.. Hope this helps..

no license still can buy bike. just gotta have a non-rider stated on your insurance and then can transfer the ownership to you already.

hMm. insurance depends a lot on your age, and the type of bike your riding.

500++ for new P-plate? For SP? Quite impossible dude.. Cuz now still got the new law of $150 for new p-plate rider plus $400++ - 500++ for 3rd party insurance..

sorry, i didn't know that one could purchase a vehicle without a valid license

hey enfant, yeah, anyone can purchase a motorbike. LTA just states that the owner will need to have valid insurance, and if you do not have a license, the insurance company will state on the insurance policy that you are a [Non-Rider]. This satisfies the requirement that states the owner needs to have a valid insurance policy, and thus the bike will be able to be under your name.

New.. I think 2nd hand wud be more expensive? And SP insurance wud definitely be more ex than cbr150

maybe 1k is for 2nd party..? 3rd party shud be cheaper..

Yea.. It's 2nd party. 3rd party would be cheaper (dunno how much cheaper). But since I bought the bike on hire-purchase (installments), the shop required me to take at least 2nd party.
