Usually piston jam is due to engine oil not enough and whack only. Stick to regular drain intervals recommended by the manufacturer and u will have less problems. :goodluck:

Piston jam happen if engine oil is old, engine not warm up or fuel mixture too lean. As long as the engine oil is at minimum it is ok.

i dun know if this is a common problem.. few months back i brought my wave from a 2nd hand shop.. i never really take care of it like i never warm up long enough and i never change engine oil for some time..

now it is giving me problem, i felt tat the bike give of a strange engine sound.

sound like that is ball bearing in the engine.

the speed and power oso had been reduced since then. the engine oil had reduce a lot even i change it every 1000km.. someone told me that the piston had problem and eat up the engine oil.. is it true

someone pls tell me

-is my piston spoilt and need to be replace

-how much to replace the piston

Don't waste your money... if piston ring spoil change that only... at the most piston also change... but if need to change con rods, valves, crank shaft and all! Then this bike is damn chia lat liao... might as well buy another one and save you all the headache and $$$$.

Already change liao so no point crying over spilled milk.

Just remember to take care of ur bike.

This is what i will say.

Go buy the white bottle Honda engine oil which is made in Thailand.

Cost about $8 a litre.

Change the oil every 2000km.

Change plugs every 2 or 3 oil change.

Whack the bike whenever u like but not all the time.

Maybe about 10% of the total ride time. u be the judge.

In my ride around thailand, i changed oil and plug everyday !!!!

Cheers !

Mine also hv this pro. Take me 45 mins to warm up then can move. At first thought is the plug pro but is not. Then i opened the air box and is wet inside. I supect is the rubber pipe connected to the Carb and airbox might be faulty (tiny holes). So i dry the pipe and is ok liao so i tin must be the pipe which I'm getting it replaced by tomorrow. Will keep u guys inform abt the status.

Topic : leaking engine oil on the ground

Description : Nil

********************************************************************

Hello Bikers,

just wonder if you have the same observation as me.

I realise that when we park our bike overnight and the next morning, we sometime see some engine oil on the ground. Wonder if this is normal? I have been observing this for some time and it seems to happen to most bikes too. Can anyone advise if this is normal ? Please feel free to add any comment. Thanks.

of cause this is not normal. there might be some gasket have harden and leak. need to replace.

if the leak is not very serious and you can choose to ignore its, but you got to top up EO (depend on how bad the leak)

change gasket will help you to solve the problem.

A second of precaution is an hour of safety. It never hurts to ask.
