Izzit advisable to use premix when the tank is totally empty? so the ratio will be just right? if not empty how? like half empty? still can?

no lah. let say your tank not empty, then u want to fill in 2 liltres of petrol. then u ratio it ah. my ratio is 10-15ml 2T for every litre of petrol. so if i fill in 2 litres, i put 30ml of 2T.

50 parts of fuel to 1 part of oil.

Remove plastic gear behind oil pump to disable it.

Synthetic based or lower grade for street use.

Castor based for hi-rev, not rec for street as carbon build up alot.

Castor not rec to use with oil pump.

Topic : Engine stall & petrol consumption

Description : Engine stall while idle & fast petrol co

Good day guys,

 

as usual I would like to ask for your advise.

 

1 ) I notice these days that my petrol consumption seems to be faster than previous. eg. i used to be able to clock 1litre to 48-50km. But now it seems abt 1litre to 40km. My fuel metre goes to last bar even before 100km. I normally ride abt 80-90km. Can it be due to filter dirty or need to be changed ? I last clean abt 10K km ago. There is also no petrol leakage.

 

2 ) I also notice that while waiting at traffic light, my engine seems to stall more regularly. CAn it be due to spark plug ? I have used for abt 6K km or ilding is too little ?

 

3 ) It also seems to me that it is getting more difficult to accelerate to abt 80-90km now. Wat may be possible reason? Filter ?

 

Anyone who has encountered such problem, pls feel free to share. Thanks.

i've encountered no 1 & 2.for 1 i changed to a better ratio for de spockets.(but forgot de ratio).n changed de spockets n chain to a thinner size.agn...i forgot de size.n mayb u can try change ur engine oil.

for no 2 i jus increase de timing.

I am tuning the petrol consumption to smaller and see how it goes. I make some changes the other time coz of backfire....

 

i will contine monitoring and see how things go. Thanks again.

check ur choke cable....

mine was broken inside the rubber hose, therefore it become alway open....was told by bikeshop that wave's choke cable have it problem.....i have since replace the cable and cabletie to prevent unwanted usage....

if for normal daily used, IMO the 2T dont need to mix with the petrol fuel...cox Yamaha's engineer have well design ,unless go for track or long distance travelling. As mention the smoke, U can try to clean up ur exchaust typical clean up"DIY" take out ur exchaust(bought exchaust gasket first la) then pour some petrol or fuel ...then light on ur lighter :goodluck: after burn the carbon n then pour again the cold water to make sure the carbon flush out or u can ask mech to adjust ur 2T intake, normally if ur 2T consump too high then ur throttle cant really full open, this because some of cub have the fuel line n 2T intake's line in 1 control by ur throttle.

 

NOTE: If u dun know what u r doin, pls dun try this at home.:cheeky:

from a nut at the engine there near the fornt tires...

i leak abit by abit.

and wat is the so the top speed for a stock wave S??

with all oringal things

 

what should he do??

Hi

 

1. I'm riding an X1 bought this year, 1st hand. However, i need to warm the engine for at least a few minutes before riding off, otherwise, the engine dies while riding a minute later or so.

 

Can anyone tell me why and is there any solution for this?

 

2. Another thing is that i can hear this static/sandy("berpasir") sound while riding at bout >80km/hr.. is this normal??

 

X1 riders, do u encounter this problems as well?

1. it is good practice for u to warmup the bike for awhile before moving off especially if the bike has been parked for long period of time e.g. overnight

so try not to save on the time to warmup the bike if possible

 

2. think that could be the sound of the piston? seems normal to me...the bike does produce a certain amount of sound frm the engine even when if running idle

 

3. one problem that i currently face w/ my x1 after having travelled ard 14000KM is that sometimes when i release clutch too quickly when moving off at gear 1, my bike will jerk quite abit (i know this part is normal). but when later on, after i shift up from gear 2 to gear 3, sometimes i will still experience serious jerking for 1-2seconds after getting to 3rd gear

though i dont experience this problem very often (probably ard once per mth), it has always troubled me as i'm not exactly sure which part of the bike is causing this irregular problem

U hav to go bike shop do liao...

 

The nut track spoil liao. Got to go bike shop do retracking.

 

F.Y.I: Next time change E.O dun tighten it too hard. if not it will break the track again.

He say a nut frm the engine near the front tires.

 

Got 2 hole for E.O In/Out.

 

1) Is the hole u pour E.O (If u pour too much it will leak out) LoL...

2) Is below the engine tat when u change E.O. (If the nut track spoil the E.O leak)

 

Where can u find the 3nd hole tat E.O can be leak out?

 

A) Exhaust header?

B) Carb?

C) Oil seal?

D) Engine Cover crack?

E) Or Etc...

it is the one near the exhaust header...

there is a small cap which 1 2 screw..

1 of the screw it leaking..

 

anyway just wondering hw much is a wave enigne block and psiton?

mine also leaking.it's not from de engine oil drain hole.its near de exhaust header rite?mine leak a lot oredi.dunno y.asked my fren said normal....de leak can b seen more clearly cos i nvr wash my bike for more den 1yr liao.

ohh tat 1 is ur valve rocker cover...jus tighten can liao..if nt change e oil seal inside it.. :thumb:
