Guys, i have a big problem here.

As i am not a local, i find it difficult to have my cub kia service.. as i dunno where to go and which bike shop will have a better knowledge in servicing cups and most importantly cheap.. hehe..

 

my cup have a problems with the gear box i think. cause when i travel long distance like from geylang to jurong point to and fro... and when i reach the 4th gear.. it sometimes will give some funny noise like something is stuck in the engine.. as i am quite a new rider and my knowledge in bikes are to shallow.. so i hope to find some helpful kind soul here to help me out with... my bike is a 7 years old suzuki..

 

anyone who can help me???

Help ar ! my bike.. Honda Wave-I front tyre dunno y... today keep Screeching all the way while i riding..

 

it seems like metal is rubbing metal @ front tyre... even when i put it to main stand.. use hand turn the tyre manually.. it will b beri rough n got a sound like metal rubbing metal... seems like tyre going fall off.. or brakes n tyre keep rubbing..

 

den when i brake.. it seems like the brake line will break lidadt.. any 1 can help .? cos i dunno where to send it to serivce in singapore... i had being servicing in malaysia & small services in SPC Yishun..

Dat indicates your either your brake pads or your bearings are worn out. Ride slowly to workshop and have your front brake pads check first.

Just bring to bike shop and hear what they say, dont like what they say just bring to another bike shop and hear what they say, if it sounds the same between both bike shop, start comparing the prices of different bike shop until u like what they say.

my bike(wave-s) had a problem: not able to idle when i stop, the idling becomes slower and slower and dies off.

 

Okay i went to this shop at ah gua lane near mobil last night. The guy said probably carb problem.

 

opened up carb and spray some solvents inside to "clean" and said my valves are choked. need to "ram valve" i have no idea what the hell that means but i probably think its to decarbonise or service the valves.

 

They took out my piston and the valves it was coated with a layer of black crispy carbon. so after a while the mechanic told me my piston rod is shaky(moves left-right its supposed to move up-down only) so need to change the bearing. (i think it SHOULD BE camshaft bearing or i dont know what the hell that thing is but its the bearing on the rolling rod that spins your gears when your piston pushes it)

 

I just bought over my bike from tigerjoe and its less then a year old + he services it regularily every 1000km and i dont see why the thing can rosak so fast.

 

SO NOW MY QUESTION IS: is that piston rod supposed to be able to move slightly left and right? (WAVE S)

 

He says it cost RM320 to get everything done up. SO i said no i only got 100RM with me. so i only cleaned the piston head+valve. which he claimed to cost about $45+EO+sparkplug, when i asked him for an estimate he did not rell me properly AT ALL.

 

He charged me RM129 for:

 

Spark plug $12

engine oil $10(i dont see why need to change he never open crankcase)

service $45

topset gasket $20+(never tell me)

something something(dunno is wtf) : $30+(never tell me)

 

End up had to borrow $ from friend + the idling problem is not solved. he only jacked up my idling speed to prevent dying.

 

 

 

 

This afternoon i followed my friend to his fav shop abt 16km from JB. The mechanic tune & washed my carb for 1 whole hour. still doesnt works so i told him about what the guy said yesterday. He opened up the block & stuff then claimed that nothing is wrong with the piston & rod. he tried to ride my bike & kept tuning and ended up changing my spark plug cable which SOLVED THE PROBLEM. I paid only RM48.

 

 

I dont know what the hell that ah gua lane shop guy is doing trying to carrot me or what. or maybe the mechanic at the shop i went today know nuts(but i think its good since the shop i went today is quite a big & reputable shop!)

 

SO my final question is still: is that piston rod supposed to be able to move slightly left and right? (WAVE S)

yep at 1st tigerjoe told me its the carb problem, due to the k&n air filter he used

so i went to service the carb & that sharlu shop troubleshooted "more problems" & tried to carrot me. RM129 for troubleshooting not worth it i can get my uncle do it for FREE!

 

so everything's fixed & mech's recommendation use original wave air box + foam type high flow air filter instead of an exposed k&n filter for performance.

 

exposed air filters risks water entering engine & very frequent air filter servicing.

hi to all wave rider

 

my wave come out alot of white smoke. when i going to work shop the mechanic take out the head and block the piston is spoil....i hv oredi change the piston and piston ling....

 

the first day after the change....still hv a littlle bit of white smoke...

 

but yesterday i saw alot white smoke come out when i pickup...

 

need to send back to workshop to check wat problem again...

 

 

did any wave rider here got this problem???

Topic : Wave S encounter problem.

C anyone can help me with this problem.

When riding my wave, all of sudden, the front Panel where the speedo-meter, fuel indicator and signal light indicator, all light Off. Speedo-meter never move at all, siganl light not working.

Then stopped and try to restart the bike, however still the same problem and cannot electic-start, only kick start can run the bike.

Any advise,guy??

bro have u check yr fuse it might br yr fuse have blown off. change the fuse if blown again then must be yr wiring must have short circuit as u might have install some lighting which connect wrongly at somewhere..... if the fuse no blown off again then might be yr battery which have given up the service on yr bike.

will it be the battery "dead"?? Me never installed any thing on the bike recently.
