yea LTC tan chuan jin is the best!!

Before i ord i met the guy who replace him and he's an ass.. so strict, he told me to take off the tshirt that i was wearing under my no.4 on the spot....

no lah, a lot of guys wearin specs in guards n commandos these days. this is either heng suay or already planned one. i think one's fate was decided even before u start training unless u downgrade or something. for ur info, i had gotten Att B medical status for 2 1/2 mths cos of pneumonia after passing out fr Sispec. yet i was posted there. so this was already planned ahead or i m damn suay. :cheeky:

 

for the specs n officers, they are posted there from training in Sispec (ASLC) n OCS. they will undergo a 1 mth guards conversion course (GCC) conducted by the CO and OCs. it is practically 3 wks of tekang session in camps whereby u will get turn out in the middle of the nite to do SOC or something stupid, etc. that is followed by 1 wk of continous mission outfield whereby u just go for missions after missions without much rest for 7 days in a row. bascially it's to test the mental strength of the specs n officers. during which u have to complete the 2km coastal swim, the heli-repelling n the 10km in 50mins. after which they will be despatched to their companys to take over the training of the men.

 

for the man, it's a normal mono intake, meaning they straight away enlist into the guards camp instead of tekong for 3 mths of basic military training (BMT). from there a few personnels will be posted out but the majority will stay in guards for advance military training (AMT) for the next few mths. here they are taught as what they taught in other infantry units except there's are extra 3 guard's requirements that u need to pass in order to be a guardsmen which is 2km coastal swim, 10km run in 60 mins & heli-repelling.

 

that's a rough n quick summary, so guys, what do u think? am i right on the above summary?:cheeky:

i only remember 2 sgt..1 is veri tall 1 think is NSF?now reservist at 662 oso...the other 1 is spec shorter 1..as u say it kuai lan 1 lah... knn,alway fail our arms... :lol:
