My Wave was bought 2nd hand with the POSH squarish lever, and the free play is so little, that when you touch only, it's trying to brake already!!! So imagine before your fingers can squeeze comfortably, it's already fully pressurised, and stiff, thus making hard braking uncomfy for the fingers.

I blend the squarish corners to a nice round profile, and it's a tad more comfy, but still, the leverage is still too far.....today, I filed off some of the aluminium from the lever where it contact the brake master pump actuating cylinder, and now the leverage is much closer, and really, it helps with the braking as you can squeeze harder with less effort. I'm happy with it.

The original lever is still the best......

hi guys... i'm a KTM rider but recently, bought a second hand wave for transport... FX plate but milage very high... 50k plus already...

but as i'm new to the wave scene, i don't really know where to get my bike serviced... tried searching in the forums but only got names of shop but no address, no mention on which mechanic to look for... i even went down to B plus today but don't think they really service... mainly selling racing parts for wave...

another problem i have is, my wave mainly racing parts(brake pedal, gear pedal, foot rest, break)

so i'm thinking of going to a shop who can service and at the same time help me get my bike back with stock parts... of course must be cheap and good also... haha...

don't really trust jb ah boy after all the poor reviews...

any recommendations? thanks thanks for help(s)... cheers,

:help:

from my experience wave doesnt need to do much for servicing. for me i just change my engine oil every 3k to 4k kilometres. spark plug once in 2 mths. if u want a normal servicing i guess any shop will do. my advice is just change engine oil regularly to protect the engine. and if u feel the bike kind of draggy then service the carburator.
