I just bought one.

This design:

http://www.rjays.com.au/home/products/helmets/striker-calamity-red-blk.jpg

Pretty cool helmet.

Its a tad heavy.

But its got a firm, strong quality feel.

3-pt removable inner linings means nearly everything inside can be washed properly.

It feels very quiet when I put it on, comparable to a Shoei.

Comfortable inner but feels kinda tight.

I measure my head as 58+cm and I got a size XL (61-63cm). But still feels a very snug.

One unique feature is a rear 'spoiler' or 'wing'. The helmet has 2 humps that ends to the rear. The 2 humps are joined at the edge by a metal 'spoiler'. Gives it a unique look.

Also, the front air-vent is pretty unique in the way it opens and close. Sort of like those sports-coupe headlights...

I haben tried it on the road yet.

Will give a test-ride report tomorrow...

No prob.

Will do one tomorrow.

It was a bit of an impulse buy.

I was really looking for a FF helmet to replace my aging Arai.

Had a good idea of the Rjays and was considering the Fugitive Racer series.

But Derrick, as usual, springs me a new surprise of the week and showed me the Striker.

The design wasn't a turn-on. My wife kinda hated it.

But the features were. Loved the cool inner linnings, the look & feel.

Though its a bit heavy.

well, Rjays are good stuff, worth for money, i guess.

now thinking between Fugitive Racer full face or Tourtech flipup.. :)

well, waiting for ur review bro Wildcard..

Sorry.

Just got back.

The helmet's not bad.

Bad points first:

Its somewhat still heavier than my ancient Arai & Zeus.

I guess in heavy crosswinds and long rides might be a problem.

Also, the noise is just a notch lower than my Arai. Not as good as a Shoei I've tested before.

I did a recording from inside my helmet while travelling at 103 km/h. See if I can upload it.

Also, even when I picked a slightly larger helmet, still feels very snug and tight, especially around my upper head area.

Dunno if its the case of a new helmet or really still small size helmet.

Now the good points:

Other than the snugness on the top of my head, otherwise the feel inside is very comfortable.

Wasn't too warm or too hot. I was testing it out with a balaclava and it didn't feel too warm, meaning the venting seems to work well.

Visor has a clear field of vision. Rjays claim its a anti-scratch type, but I wun know till it hits something small.

All-in-all, its a value for $$$ helmet. If you can get it around $200 or somewhat lesser, confirm value for $$$.

*Update*

After much thinking and tinkering, I decided to sell my Rjays Striker design to a forumer and the lucky buyer is kmax.

Thanks, bro and I hope the helmet is up to your expectation.

Reason I sold was coz the internal was still too tight, giving me a major headache if I ride for long.

Fortunately, it fits kmax quite well.

So I went back to Regina to get another Rjays helmet (suddenly I just love their helmets). Unfortunately, they didn't have size XXL in stock for the same Striker design. Had to wait 2 weeks. So I decided to test out the older Fugitive GP1 size XXL. Found it very light, much lighter than the Striker design. But putting it on is a major struggle. While the internal fits quite well with little tightness, the cheekpads were a colossal struggle to wear.

While the price offered was attractive, but I was still attracted to the Striker's features.

So, out of curiousity, I decided to try out the Striker plain matt-black.

Guess what?

It was the same weight as the GP1 and lighter than the design. The young friendly chap who attended to me helped take out another Striker with a similar design. It was really much heavier than the plain black design. I tested on the matt-black with size M and it was a very snug fit but no headache.

So I asked the chap to get me a XL size matt-black Striker.

True enough, it was lighter than than the design Striker and fits very well with no headaches.

Wasting no time, I got it.

So now, have myself another Rjays Striker of perfect fit with no headaches.

Tested it out at high speed last night at 2nd Link and is very happy with it.

For a very good price.

Must go to Regina and long chat with the boss. :)

Erm, I told my wife it was pink and she said its new shade of blue. To which I said its called pink.

Erm, I think so. The young chap at Regina let me do a hand-weight test on the matt-black & pink design. I felt the design ones are significantly heavier. The matt-black ones felt the same as the GP1.

well, thanks for introducing the helmet bro wildcard.

striker design one is abit heavy but once u put on, i dont feel the weight, it's equally distributed.

(it's heavier than my previous airoh helmet).

and i dont feel tight nor headache.. very comfortable.

ears position is comfortable, not rolled nor stuffed, but very quiet. :thumb:

cheekpads and cushions are not ordinary cotton, smthin like antibacteria material, i hope they will last longer too :)

only that XL shell is bigger than my previous helmets (hope i dont look like astronaut).

i tried to test the vents on top and they works well (closed first, ride off, speed about 80-100, i opened the vent) and i can feel the air coming in.

though i like the design, my gf doesnt approve it.. hehe, she said it's fierce and doesnt match my bike..

anyway, it's value for money and satsfy with it too.. :)
