How much tolerance?

Will they close one eye? Its only for cosmetic and IMHO, it effects on the safety factor is negligible.

Let say bike is 100% legit, just except some signal lights and headlights..

If it's not stock with the bike and not manufacturer approved replacement, or has any certification, then you're rolling the dice. No one can say what their exact tolerance is. It's usually LTA which goes after those sorts of infringements by the way.

They may largely ignore some things, but if you get pulled over for other mods, they can add up all the minor things to hit you with a large bill.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

Well my new ride which I might be buying have some LED lights and headlight. Personally I dont see any harm they can cause..

As for what you say pulled over for other mods, its unliekly since I dont really have any major MOD except some of these lights made by the previous owner.

If they stopped me over just for a simple inspection on my exhaust which is legal, I believe they wont target my signal lights right?

Nope. Full body check-up will be done. Either on the spot or you be escorted to the nearest inspection centre.

If headlight too white you will confirm kena. That one super obvious don't even need to stop you to see. Might not even be good for safety as it blinds drivers in their mirrors cos they'll only see a wall of white instead of seeing where you are.

if you install pure-white LED into your pole/parking light (usually a T10 bulb as stock), it is unlikely to be a problem with LTA and/or testing. done before. but if the white LED has a coloured tinge, will be hit-and-miss.

If you replace your stock signal lights with LED signal lights, technically this modification is NOT illegal unless its some really funny thing like wrong colour or in a position that cannot be seen.

using white headlights, provided its not HID (unless your bike stock is HID which i dont know of any such model), is a hit-and-miss. the act itself is not illegal, but sometimes the light has a mild coloured tinge to it (usually blue for 'legal' white light) and tester/LTA declare not allowed. the problem is there is no instrument to test, they use eyes and decide can or cannot. if there is an obvious coloured tinge to your white light, it is definitely illegal. technically, pure white halogen headlights are indeed allowed.

if you instal any extra light, whether LED or halogen bulb, whether white or coloured, it may be illegal. and if its coloured, confirm illegal. dont bother installing coloured LED into your pole/parking light.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Just for reference. My friend's R1 failed inspection for signal lights too small. Previous owner changed to the small type, but my friend kanna. Dun think it's LED.
