i need to find a shop to drill my box to mount the speakers on.. any shop do dat..? i can do the wiring myself..

 

and one more qn.. if i juz fix my sound system to play mp3.. do i still need to pay for radio license..? cos i`m only playing it thru my mp3.. no radio..?

 

still clueless on these.. can any kind souls enlighten me..? thanx..!

Yes you still need radio licence.

It actually depend on what genre of the song you are listening to also.

 

if you're refering to soft music like eg:"Phantom of the opera"

 

I think you can forget about it listening it at 100km/h.

I've installed a sound system on my bike.

 

4 x 4" Pioneer speakers=S$50

1(who needs 2 btw?) x Pioneer CD/MP3 car audio player=S$152

Installation charge=S$?(Sorry, 4got...)

Total Cost=

Total Experience=Priceless

 

Oops, 4got 2 infrm 1 thing...

1 year radio licence=S$27. (Apply @ SingPost)

hi guys.. i just install my sound system on my wave cost mi less den 150 wif amp and speakers wif leds flashing when got the bass.. the sound not bad still can listen while riding at high speed.. the bass also quite gd.. got the thumping feeling. but there is a question i would like to ask.. when going inspection hw? need to remove the speakers?

hi... u fix ur speaker for less den 150 ?? speaker plus amp plus radio set?? got FM 1 mah??? look quite cheap lehz... wad brand izzit??? izzit connect to de batt???

you don't need the radio license if you are not using the player like those in cars...

you can use amp and speakers powered by mp3. so u can have your FM. but rememeber you need to apply for radio lic. think its $11/per year. and you can add an additional batt and parallel it to your bike's batt. that's wad i am doing.

 

i dun listen or play the FM on my system. but i still apply for the radio lic. who knows when sh*t strikes.

i believe if you want good quality, u gotta pay a certain price. ask most ppl who had v good quality sound system, they spend a lot on it i am sure.

 

i used to have this configuration, which takes up my whole e33 box. it have two 3 by 9 inch speakers and two 5.25 inch component speakers. and i am using a 400W amp. the sound is :thumb: cost me a good 300 dollars. and there is still so much to add like pre amp and sorts.

 

i guess most ppl who heard it before will know. but in the end, its too heavy, ard 10kg, and makes my ride unstable. so i changed it.

 

so if u want to put a sound system, space, budget and most imptly, the comfort of your ride must be considered.

so blue streak now wat sound system u using???the other day at dam did'nt manage to hear ur sound system,onli manage to see ur light!!haha...cos one of ur fren speaker damm power ah...n do uknow ur fren with the power speaker with led on the speaker do at where ah??

my system now is downgraded to only three speakers and a 200W amp. not so power as before but still packs a punch. but i know someone personally got a sound system that will beat mine hands down. dat fellow's is crazy. the config wait till i see with my own eyes then i know. so far the sound i hear is damn ***king solid. hahah.... like a portable disco.

 

anyway i think the speakers on my friend's wave the brand is blitz or something. not sure what is the brand anyway. the speaker comes with the light. available at sim lim tower...

yesterday i went to sim lim tower not sim lim comlex!!got quite a number of shop there....

 

as i was carrying a helmet n looking at the speaker at level 2...the shop owner immdtly ask me if i was looking for a speaker for bike..i said yeah he offer me this pair of sony speaker for 35 bucks(120 watts),with amp 55 bucks...total 90 bucks...no istallation....so do u tink its a good deal???i dont mind paying xtra for a good set of speker with powerful bass n good amp...but budget below 200 ah

if u wan, wait till the next meet up and u can see various system to hear and judge for yourself?

request for a bigger n more powerful amp.. ask wad's the price for a sub.. not a mini one pls...
