Just found some interesting pieces of info on LTA:

 

The 2 rarest motorcycle brands in SG are:

Harford: 5 registered

Derbi: 6 Registered

 

For the more commonly known brands:

Lambretta: 17

MV Augusta: 25

Moto Guzzi: 33

 

There are currently 1,200 registered Harleys.

 

Needless to say, these is a pale comparison to the 2 most popular models:

Honda: 67,459 (46.17% of total bike population)

Yamaha: 39,865 (27.28% of total bike population)

 

The most common displacement is 101cc - 200cc with 109,820 bikes.

Surprisingly, there are only 11,496 registered bikes with 501cc and above.

 

Just some useless facts and figures (as of end 2008). :D

lambretta is a vintage type of vespa, very rare and usually command a bery bery good value, same for overseas. collectors item man.

 

i rem someone selling it for more than 10k... i'm not a collector, so i will rather spend that 10k being with one of the 1200 reg owners league. :D

Lambrettas a similar to vespas but are not under Piaggio. In fact, both the family-owned companies are "arch-rivals".

 

The cost to own a Lambretta here is ridiculous. They can be cheaply gotten from other countries, such as India, for less than 1k....

i used to own one..ah some 30 years ago...compare to current bikes this one is a real joke.:box:

apart from that, i would like to have V-twin sports bike.

 

will be duc if luck and money enuf.. or just honda VFR.. or old VTR :D

I like my Sporty a lot too.... fantastic torque, great sound, zippy, good FC. Can't bear to let it go, but I'm itching for a different riding experience.

 

I don't think I can ever convince my wallet to maintain 2 bikes, unless I grow another @$$ :lol:

 

At some point in life, I'm gonna need to get a 4-wheeler for the family but I'd like to keep a 2-wheeler as well....
