Turns out that my ride is a virgin, TOO DRY. (the belt drive assembly la). That's why it SQUEAKS under a bit of TENSION. EEK EEK EEK EEK EEK.

Had to lubricate it with some spray. Waiting time, 1.5 hrs (cos got other rides earlier than me at the workshop). Problem solved in 10 mins. Cost = One bowl Wanton Mee.

Only consolation was somebody's girlfriend wearing hot pants and spags at the wanton mee shop wearing T-backs and black covers.

My Rides:

LuLu, Piaggio Gilera Runner FXR 180 (Feb05-Aug05)

PhanPhan, Honda Phantom TA 200 (Aug05-July07)

Leyley, HD Sportster XL1200R (Jul07-July09)

TiTi, Yamaha Majesty YP250 (Jul07-Oct09)

DyNaNa, HD FXDX Dyna SGS (Jul09-Dec10)

LanPaPa, Vespa Excel PX150XE (Oct09-Jul10)

PiaSekSek, Piaggio X8 (Aug10-Dec10)

Stixie, Honda ST1300A (Jan11-Nov15)

Giogio, Piaggio MP3 400IE (Nov15-??)

eL and I were passing through Ubi area when we saw this accident consisting of a car and fellow rider:

*Pardon the image quality*

We didn't actually witness the whole accident but I figured it happened minutes before we were passing through. Freaky thing was that this morning, I was at the same junction learning how to do my u-turn for prac 7.

Fortunately the victim is alive, just that he has some fractures (I think). Sigh.

There was one night after FNO while the T-junction I was waiting to turn left. So the light turned green in my favor. Just as I clutch in to engage 1st, this mit lancer beat the red light across the junction. If i had been any faster or had anticipated the light to change, I'll probably had stopped riding already.

Quite a place to get into an accident.

Car workshop, bike workshop and TP HQ all so nearby. Only thing is hospital quite far...

Car was coming from Ubi Rd 1 turning right towards paya lebar road.

Motorcycle going straight along Ubi Rd 1 opposite direction from the car.

Motorcycle pass on amber.

Car turned right into the path of the rider.

Witnessed by another driver moving the same direction as the rider, waiting to turn right from Ubi Rd 1.

Car at seemed at fault but claimed that there was a green arrow in his favour.

Riding bros and all those still learning to ride, please dun take "right of way" for granted. Once others dun give you the "right of way" you will be disadvantaged. Slow down when approaching junctions and glance to check that vehicles have stopped for you. Especially so when the lights are changing. Be alert and vigilant and you'll live to ride longer.

Yeah he went over to help! :lovestruck:

GRAAAGGGHH don't talk about my prac 7. This was what happened:

At the second part of prac 7 we were supposed to lead the instructor to show them that we are familiar with the test route. So since I wasn't really familiar and the guy in front of me looks zai, I followed him. Until a part where I vaguely remembered we had to turn left at a junction (and I signalled left even though the guy in front of me signalled right), I CONTINUED TO FOLLOW HIM AND FILTER TO THE RIGHT LANE in preparation to turn right. Then the instructor shot up from behind and niam niam niam.

In the end he had signal the centre lane to stop and let us filter from the RIGHT lane to the LEFT lane in the junction (on the pedestrian line) so that we can turn left at that junction. In the end, 2 of us were the only ones who failed this prac :slapforehead:

GRAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH! @)(&$*#*&@^

What could have taken 1 lesson to pass will take me 2 lessons because of my folly.

Lesson learnt: NEVER FOLLOW THE GUY IN FRONT OF YOU! :gun:

grace your situation is so similar to my class2B tp test.. As i have told you all before that my tp test is passed "heng heng " only as i did 2 times of figure of 8.. which is consider "off course". DOn't know why i pass also..

this is what happen. on that day of test, i'm still half asleep. so after i'm done with my fig of 8, the front guy signal left and turn left to the figure of 8 course.. so i follow him. did't realised that i just did that a min ago... So..... silly me but luckily that the TP close 1 eye.

you can ask ramus ;-) took the same tp as him.

Haha! At least this guarantees you'll memorise the route for your second try...

The rider did not get a chance to hop off the bike.

His bike rammed the left front corner of the car and the rider thrown against the car windshield.

Car windshield is smashed on the mid left side.

If you look closely the rider is still lying on the road.

He felt nothing but pain from his waist down and his right leg is fractured. Bone exited the skin below the knee toward the inside of the leg, bled a pool of blood on the road. It was a good thing the wound was left as it was. If the tension of the skin and muscle around the protruding bone was relaxed he might have bled out even more.
