So lauda had a close shave this morning...I wasn't so lucky...

 

Got into an accident along upper serangoon road at about noon, lady driver turned into from the right most lane in to the middle lane and I couldn't brake in time...I'm alright, just sore...

 

Spent the rest of the day till now doing insurance related stuff..

 

oh, you are not lucky man.. what's the damage ?

the oncoming lane 1, 2& 4 stopped, so I crossed the junction.

 

Then out of nowhere a black car shot out of lane 3 and rammed straight into my path... Had I accelerated any faster I would not be here as well... since I was busy I didn't went after him (hell, he continued to shoot down paterson road... as though if I could catch him...) I vaguely caught sight of the plate number...

 

my front section got damaged... mainly the risers and the yoke... *******...

F*** man! This is the worst type of crap that drivers can pull on you. You anticipate and yet.. and yet.. someone does something really unbelievably unexpected.

After selling my bike.. I often curse the fact that public transport really sucks at times. And I live vicariously from the windows of the bus.. wondering how I would rather be that rider chugging along by the side.

 

And then it also feels like I"m indestructible.. cocooned in the carriage with not a care in the world..

 

I love it when I'm on the bike.. and

I love it when I'm off the bike... damm the paradox!

glad you are ok, i am controlling myself very hard not to smash car mirrors whenever they cut infront or jam break for alighting passengers.

 

why their pea brains cant think hazard light doesnt mean they can stop near traffic light, narrow lane or whenever they want..

Lady & gentlemen, just a side note here.

We maybe ranting our side of stories here, counting/cursing the blessings here & there.

But one thing still stands out, the best gift you can give to your loved ones is yourself..

not being promo here, but this liner did give me a thought or 2.

no matter nxt insure renewal premium is higher, no matter the NCD will be wipe out by nxt renewal, no matter how much the insure will be paying out, it just doesnt/cant justify one, yes, one life.

 

We gain experience & learning frm the mistakes.

So that we'll move on stronger & wiser.

Its a fact that we're the most vulnerable group together with pedestrains on the road, but then, it is also that the inch-perfect judgement of our brains & the nimble movements of our limbs, that makes us standing out in the crowd.

 

Sometimes, thou against our will, we'll be offended, but do think of this, live to ride, another day....

Drop the whole idea of getting your license.

We could both maybe hold hands, take public transport together and wave to them while they ride past. Don't you think this would be beautiful?
