a long day is has been...

rode for about 300km today... and it was r*ining the whole day everywhere I go... :sian:

luckily, the bike didn't not fail on me due to the r*in

and on the final part of the return leg... after many attempts to coax the last gear into powerband... I actually succeeded once... usually it would climb 90... 91... 92... then fail and plummet down again... this time it managed to inch to 98... 99... once it touched 100 it immediately start to accelerate again... before maxing out at 1**...

but when I was near home... I started notice some rough sounds coming from my bike... oh no... :giddy:

probably going to continue the testing tml... but I will do a mini test at 4am to check if it is able to withstand the final step of its running in...

even if you give me a r1 with a pair of termi... I think I will still choose my smaller bike... (provided that I am not allowed to sell that r1 to raise money)

argh... who can take the broken key out of my bike... I can't take it anymore...

huh? your key broke in the keyhole?

Maybe you can try to solder a lead to the broken end and lift it out?

yea... its broken in the keyhole...

ah chong told me to see the locksmith beside regin* first... and if he cannot solve it then see him again... probably to do something drastic... :weep:

I have previously removed a broken key by using a pincer, the kind that we use in NS for cleaning rifle. If the broken piece is too slippery, roughen the pincer by filing it first.

If there's absolutely no space to grip, then try the soldering iron method.

The locksmith will usually turn the key to remove the cylinder so that they can access to the key from the rear side. Don't know whether in this case your lock cylinder can be removed..

I once used super glue and took out the broken half but be very careful not to glue the broken half to the lock hor! Or you can contact the Super Key Lady of Toa Payoh - Eileen @ 9006 9642. Specialist for all types of keys & locks, car lock & safe lock with 24hrs outdoor service. Hope she can help!Cheers!

took out already?

if nt, possible to take out the assembly?

:btw: 2molo u'll be @ ah chong's?

lol i played flightsims since I was about 4 years old. Falcon 2.0 was my earliest recollection, and some green-screened vintages before them.

My favourite must be the Russian designed combat flight sims, IL-2 and LO:MAC. They're easy to live with for starters but the hard part is combat tactics. Got to read up on historical facts to win against online opposition (who seem to know their 'realism' stuff very well)

FS was interesting enough - have you seen primary school kid talk about operating a Boeing 747? Very lonely existence LOL

lol my very 1st intro to flight sim was in 95 when creative Sound blaster 32 came out with bundle games, inside was a F-16 desert storm combat simulator....then slowly transit to FS98, FS2009....

hmmmm i rmb some institution is using FS9 as a training platform for school curriculum, was is NTU or NUS forgotten....Good to know a fellow aviator

Cheers!

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

cannot unlock seat = cannot disassemble tail section = cannot dismantle lock = shingz

I have been at ah chong's numerous times these few days... 3 times today in fact... he solved one grinding sound mystery of mine... phew... for a moment I thought I have destroyed my own engine... :giddy:

he is very busy these few days as he is understaffed... he told me to come back in a few days' time...

as for tml... dun think I would leave my house... I need to study...

lol I was so surprised to have a call from KeV this morning. The touring & safety advise is definitely appreciated :3

err nothing related to the quote but, kalyan, do you listen to nightwish...? :thirsty:

today rode for another 100km... the final stage of the run-in is coming to an end... I guess I would be carrying my oil filter from now onwards to get ready for the great oil change... can't wait to start using fully synthetic oils again!

Though I prefer the songs when Tarja was still the lead.

Earlier this morning - TA200 vs impatient RXZ wailing away waiting for the light to turn green. He false-started (moving off before the green light) but my huge B-17 bomber easily beat him in straight line torque and overtook the Yamaha in an off-camber corner. I was leaning over the side with knee down.

I believe everyone at that point was "WTF" :) and I'm even more in love with Phantoms!

ps. As we all know the RXZ's hp to weight ratio is way better than us but the fundamental here is that 2-strokes give out max. performance at high revs when exhaust resonance is "supercharging" the cylinder.

Whereas we are the opposite, with lots of low end, easily accessible torque.

i don think TA200 can win an RXZ in terms of pickup/acceleration.

it is more likely the RXZ rider don want to 'play' with you.

even my TA150 will have problems playing pickup with a RXZ...

last night while riding towards yishun along lentor ave.

got this TA200 bo liao, like wanna play with me, i stopped infront of him as the light was red.

when light turn green, he just whack his throttle in an attempt to overtake me... feeling cheeky, i 'played' with him a little, he never had a chance to overtake me although the 1st 3 gears was close but he was all the way behind me, after switching to 4th gear, i said bye bye to him and let him smell my motul 710 2T.

while it is true 2 stokers need a wristful of the throttle to bring the power out.

RD350LC has proven that it is able to let bigger bikes like CB400 (S4), CBR400, RVF smell it's legendary smoke.

4 stroke power band more gradual while 2 stroke needs higher revs to enter it's power band.

if we meet going up north for F.N.O, we can have a test. in a safe way of cos.

the only thing i feel TA200 is better than TA150 is it's much better FC.

Are we going to have a 'test'? Is there a proper track to do such 'test'? If so, I dun mind testing too!

wad ahcai said is true... there was once a maxi scooter(i tink gt200?) with pillion really wack his throttle(its damn noisy when a scooter wack throttle) and win me upon green light... if a 4 stroke scooter + pillion can win me y not the 2 strokes n class 2As?

most likely is just that they dont feel like playing with u...

i did "win" 2 strokes bike or even 2a bikes, but i can tell they are not throttling much to "play" with me...

i dont usually wack throttle, but if u heard me rev.. most likely is coz i accidentally hit neutral gear, damn ps, ppl will look at me, den i will act look under my bike, machiam got problem with my bike :cheeky:

hmm, can always find a safe stretch to have a test.

anyway, the result is confirmed a foregone conclusion, TA150 wins hands down.

the 1st 3 gears will be a rather close affair, TA200 will be about 1 bike length behind the TA150 but after TA150 hit 4th gear after dragging the 1st 3 gears, the see the TA150 disappearing into the distance.... :cheeky:

i personally tested it out with a TA200 rider last night, dunno why he want to ka cheow me, so i responded in kind.

he was smelling my 2T all the way. :cheeky:

Lol of course TA150 will beat a TA200, hands down! 2S engine design is just so much lighter than our 4S which requires heavy flywheel/counterweight to run smoothly. They also generate power with every piston stroke, unlike our TA200s.

In terms of ownership indeed 4S will give better FC (tho this depends on the rider too) and will not need 2T.

Performance wise, TA150 is the way to go for high speed cruising. But people like to stare when they hear the sound of the 200, even if they must be familiar of our small and very common Honda cruisers.

And I did partly pick the 200cc model for the sound and other "special" effects :)

In everyday terms, Phantom is a Phantom and all are cool :) If you ever want to "test" your bikes then join us in the Apr 3 LCK rally. Plenty of roadways to test full-power acceleration and braking. Brake early for the tighter stretches at Neo Tiew though, as we don't have the "flickability" of street or sport bikes.

it is more likely the RXZ rider don want to 'play' with you.

It was a good demonstration that revving away at the red light impatiently and then failing to decisively accelerate when it does turn green, gets one nowhere hehe

ha... the term "snow white sorrow" caught my eye... it was from amaranth...

oh well... I do prefer tarja too... it makes nightwish extra special... :weep:
