hi guys, is super 4 a good choice for class 2a before being able to have a class 2 tourer / sports tourer? any things i can do to make it as comfy as a cl2 tourer bike? coz i heard the riding posture can be kinda strain for our back, any tips from super 4 tourers? =D or are there other alternatives 2a bike which is similar to tourers comfort?

domino effect.. first bike lost control and drop.

 

i stopped to help.. but my side stand sink and and drop..

 

follow by the bike behind lost balance and drop...

 

check out the last vstorm rider's action... almost going to drop.. haha

 

thats why need to weld a really big base for the side stand before going to the treacherously deep mud...

super 4 has good speed, bold'ors have wind protection...

 

but why not consider class 2a tourers, such as transalp 400?

Kmjoe. There are always handle bar riser for comfort. Depending how fast and challenging you want. CBx 250 can also use as touring bike....

Kmjoe. There are always handle bar riser for comfort. Depending how fast and challenging you want. CBx 250 can also use as touring bike....

 

I believe the z1000 will cost about 25k... :sweat:

kev's S4 setup will be good :) 3box and had a head fairing..

but it dun come cheap for a boldor.. the price can get a FZ6 liao =X

change the stock boldor windshield to a touring type will give u more comfort

Thks arther n vidak for the alternate options =D but kinda hard to find a transalp 400 =( rising the handlebar will be more comfortable? does it affect the handling? ps, coz i feel slightly lower handlebar has better control, pls enlighten me if im wrg =) yeah ben, i like kev's setup too, but really is ex lol...

Silverwing 400, easy to ride and bulletproof....no need think so much, im recommending this bike base on your criteria...

 

thats why need to weld a really big base for the side stand before going to the treacherously deep mud...

transalp 400 is a good bike, but pity the stock level for spare is none existant in sgp...or worldwide due to age of bike....

Fact is, any bike, can be used, for touring. :thumb:

Not amounting if you want uber speeds of cos, other than that, its just gear on, mount up & go.

 

For better riding postures, there's always handle bar clamp risers to compensate, but with a few minders to note of.

 

My setup is frm a mixtures of ideas from other S4 riders.

Basically, its just to set to what I want, what I need.

& well, its not done up over night, just slowly part by part, bit by bit.

& some stuffs, if you dont mind, can get it 2nd hand.

No need everything new... :sweat:

hahaha ya, mine bought cheap and 80% of the parts are 2nd hand and mostly are bought at a steal price. ^^

2 small example will be wingrack with 2 e21 for 140SGD and tank bra for 50SGD ^^
