On a bike where it comes stock(direct from factory) no problems.

Problems arise normally when the rider changes the stock foot rest for racing foot rests.

So what blue streak advice is, if u plannin to change to racing footrest beware that the rear disc braking might no function as well as stock.

Cheers !

Like what thai_r said, when its stock, it have no prob at all... in fact, i even brake too hard on my rear brakes i skidded and crashed on wet roads...

after i changed to racing footrest, its when the rear brakes became useless...

maybe my point is, the brake lever does not apply much pressure to the calipers to "makan" the brake.

so unless your footrest and the cable to the brake is good, then by all means change to rear disc brake... if not, you are just wasting money for other mods... haha...

also, notice the brake lever on the racing footrest is not responsive, eg, after you apply pressure, it doesn't spring back fast. (maybe its my footrest. i am using NUI racing for my raider...) so you are actually travelling with the brakes slightly on...

maybe i am wrong but just my two cents... peace.

c'est la vie~

I thought Nui Racing projects are very high quality products and they have somewhat managed to fix the rear brake problem.....

How much u bought the Nui for and where ??

Thanks.

Yoshi is cheap....but if u compare it with a Nui....no fight miss.

Nui can see is high quality and stronger built than Yoshi.

But of course....it comes at a higher price.

Cheers !

so much expensive...

i would have got myself other brands. But at that time, only NUI's footrest is able to do a plug and play on my bike. As if no need brackets to secure the footrest.

then again... i think its really worth the money. Haha.... :cheeky:

yap..... so far braking r good....

jinada: yes i did make it shorter.....n add support... so that it won't bend/flex when applying pressure onto the brake pedal......

proper alignment is also important.....to ensure no resistant when releasing brake pedal.....so that the return is smooth.....

MERGED THREAD

Topic : Rear Disc Brake

Description : now available at jb

********************************************************************

Just now was doing my bike in ah gua lane, when a lorry came and unload "Racing Boy" rims and other accessories in the box.. Then the shop mechanic informed that now Racing Boy has produced a rear disc brake for sports rim (especially for the rear disc brake) which is plug and play. brackets are all provided.

The sport rim is not like a normal rim where we are using now. It is make such that the rear disc can be screw intot the rear rim. It is available for x1 and also wave. not sure about sparks but maybe u can go there n found out. the caliper and the brake pump are red in colour. when ask how much it cost. he informed around rm600 which include the rear disc brake set and the rims(front n back).

looks like racing boy are producing really good products for our cubs.. go check it out for those who are interested. btw the shop i was in was at the one beside the mart. got a malay guy named ajie.

actually bro the plug n play thingy has been around for quiet sometime already..the racing boy rim that they use are for 125z...

because only 125z originally comes with disc..

u can get it forSGD 200 at most shop..maybe the guy overcharge ya..

cheers
