Hi there,

I recalled reading a thread of which there was an outing to a cafe around Pasir Panjang, where someone offered to help copy mapsource and Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand full maps, would appreciate it if anyone who attended the outing can help give me a copy or tell me who to get it from, thanks!

Most GPS users will be familiar with this site : http://malsingmaps.com/

However, it is still useful for non-GPS users. As long as you have an address (Malaysia or Sing), it will locate it for you. The maps are very current, and they are being updated frequently. Users need to register but it's free.

For those who are keen to try, after you have registered, go to "DOWNLOADS", "MAPSOURCE INSTALLERS", then "MALSING MAPSOURCE INSTALLER"

Now, no one should be lost...heee..Have fun !

Suggest he get Nokia 6110 Navigator. It's convenient for a despatch rider. The built-in GPS is totally free. No charges when use. :thumb:

Hi,

Can anyone share which is the recommended and most 'user-friendly' hardcopy maps of Malaysia with the NS-Highway, to purchase at GP Esso?

Would like to get one.. But i think there's a lot of different publishers.. :giddy:

Can anyone pls advise

There is this particular map which is in a booklet form. Size is a bit smaller than an A4 paper. Each state is given 2 pages. 1 is the FULL map of the state, the other is the map of the CAPITAL for that state.

Its easier to use. Just flip to the relevant page when you are riding up.

Sorry, forgot the publisher name. But i'm sure GP Esso has it.

Men ride it. Boys dream about it.

For those looking for riding directions...

Go to http://maps.google.com/

Example..enter Hat Yai in the box and it comes up with a map of Thailand with Hat Yai marked. A little pop up box gives you the option of get directions "from here" "to here".. click the "from here" button and type say phuket...it gives you step by step directions.

Pretty impressive and I'm sure many of you have used before..but for those who have not it's worth a look as the directions given seem to map out well to those provided on here.

Enjoy!

...too many to list
