if $$ not a prob... can try the 999s.. its really a nice bike..

If you want a cheap but pretty powerful V to try out first, a TL1000R wouldn't hurt your wallet.

For a track, you really cannot compare the bikes just like that. You'd need to see the layout of the track and which bike suits best. More power doesn't mean it's better.

 

....and there's such a model as Ducati 997???

The Aprilia RSV is supposed to be the fastest V twin in the world..

 

Top speed of course they would lose out to the inline4s.. But you're going for pickup and acceleration..

 

Practically, i would say get a Duc.. Even though abt same price as RSV, more mechs here know how to do a Duc and the parts are in stock, unlike RSV where u have to wait..

By the looks of your RVF and the way you use it, I'd suggest you get the VTRSP1.

 

Unless you have ALOT of spare cash, then you can do up an aprilia RSV Factory, or even a Ducati to 999 WSB spec.
