kirkjay,

do keep us updated for the details as to when u are going to hold ur workshop.

can do a short review of the no-airbrush if u happen to go and check it out? it really sounds interesting. wondering how the paint could be sprayed out without the air compression.

Guys,

Do you want a full fledge workshop where you can do hands on material, with stuff to bring back or projects to keep, with proper knowledge of how to work on bikes with a small meal at corner?

or do you want just a small gathering??

cause if you want the 1st, i can go get materials and get you to do hands on work such bringing home your 1st design and stuff. but doing such will cost some amount.

Ciggies no good la..Harmful to your health..But if you still want can inhale my bike's smoke..:cheeky:

Lets see if everyone agree 1st...

Found from some they wont mind paying abit to gain that knowledge..

It wouldnt be fair to those who want to fork out compared to those who want to only see and gleam the knowledge...

guys, was reading through.. just thinking, cant i just use paint that is used on normal walls used at void decks etc etc.. Nippon/ICI/delux whatever.. find the glossy glossy kinds.. (matt also can)

of course using it for the whole body would be ugly cos of the paintbrush markings that is left behind..

maybe use it for not so prominent places such as the frame for fairing bikes?

what u think?

hey bro, do u use a respirator when u do ur airbrushing? heard of a local airbrusher who passed away at an early age of 30+ due to lung cancer(not because of smoking eh). btw, i've got a small compressor, a little airbrush, automotive paints already. only thing is i havent started practising yet.. thinking of using water-based paints to practice on drawing paper.. any better suggestions?

can use for frame. but it is not solvent based. more of water based. therefore there a tendency of wear and tear extremely easy. abit of water or thinner will ruin that part and the run will affect the rest of the part.

actually must use. but i use the cheap face mask only. maybe end of the month will buy one. feel uneasy to use the face mask in the 1st place. but actually it will probably save me in the long run.

yup you can start practising. but if your like me...want to go further ahead, what you have there may not be enuff to fulfil your hearts desire.

ok this is wat i exactly have

1. 2.5hp compressor

2. Japanese art airbrush (0.2 nozzle)

3. Air filter for the compressor outlet

4. 1 cheap HVLP spray gun for background colors.

i know i should use a regulator before my airbrush or spraygun. what else should i actually get?

btw, i've done quite a few successful paintjobs on my previous bikes and some helmets using spray cans.. This time i want to learn using the airbrush. Intend to learn airbrushing freehand.. Saw in australia some kids who take up a one-week airbrushing course.. at the end of the course, these kids airbrushed a potrait of a face FREEHAND. the kids are abt 7-10 yrs old.. haha..

I have an old givi box sitting somewhere at home that i can supply if there is a need.

I would prefer just use eye power to see how its done first time.:cheeky:

So maybe u could show everyone how to airbrush using my cowling..

And i would do my project on my farrings .... :thumb:

How possible??:)

Do pm me the cost so i could judge if go ahead wif my project...

About the date most likely the 2nd week of raye would be better of me...

Hope it could happen....

selamat hari raya bro.. btw, if ur thinking of it, to make things fast, maybe u wanna sand ur fairing first, to cut time. sand down as much as possible, ending with a fine grit sandpaper.
