I use neither wax or chain oil, simply heavy weight Gear Oil, 90w. The various oils and waxes on teh market are really convenience things. They will work well enough, as long as you use them correctly. I have no bad opinion about any of them really, as they all are about the same.

 

Unfortunately too many riders just spray on the stuff and then ride off and think that will make their chain lubed.

 

Using gear oil is not as convenient, and it can be a bit of a pain to brush on as I do. But I save a hell of a lot by not spending that much on lubing my chain. Yes it does last very well, I get pretty high mileage from my chains.

I using Maxima chainwax.Was using lubes of different brands b4 but they all fling off despite claiming to be non-fling.After using Maxima,never change anymore.Clear coat of wax when applied correctly will keep yr chains healthy!Confirm no fling.Highly recommended.

Can get a chain oiler to drip feed the chain as you ride the bike (refer signature)

LAB dun sell.... price is about S$12 can get it at racewerkz (bukit merah), vector 1 (lavender st), planet (ubi rd 1), mustafa centre (last floor in the car assersory section), etc.....

I'm using the small can cos i can keep it under my pillion seat...Can use as and when..

ppl keep "bit**ing" bout how the chain wax/lube flings & stuffs but the crux of the matter is that most (not all la) apply the wax/lube wrongly that's why it flings!!!!!!!

should coat the inner "thigh" not simply spray where the sprockets is left side see 2 sides of chain 1 on top the other below should be spraying where the inernal of the chain meets the sprokets not other way round..that's how ppl get to see the chain got colour ah (stop yr jaw from dropping. put yr jaw back you fool)

 

they don't fling even at 280km/hr

my castrol chain wax always flings , my rims are always dirty after 2nd link trips.. at normal sg speeds they are good enough. my chain still holds strong after 30k.. rear spocket lasts but front spocket doesn't. need to replace them every 10k.
