Eric... last time sure pass. Nowadays the inspection is very strict. I wouldn't try my luck. (eg: I have an unmodified stock used just for inspection)

For inspection just use the proper screw size temporary screw in then cover the plate back...I don't cover the plate it will cause FUZZZ sound not nice..anyway when your travel in High speed you won't hear anymore but this is the cheapest mod,at least when start Engine or idling someone can notice..

ya my bikeshop that used to do my vmax is asking me to buy back my old max and restore it back to it's original status

 

i only wish its present owner take care of it better
